It wasn't until the PC's newest version 1.3 that was released today that Villagers can be traded with. If or when we ever get to that update, they'll have a purpose.

yeah pretty much but in the new 1.3 update that just came out you're able to trade with them. but yeah don't expect this on the xbox version for quite a while... im guessing we won't even have 1.2 until december or early next year.
