I was just thinking about a way to get unobtainable ideas since some worlds are without clay, snow, or whatever it may be, and I came up with a simple idea.
The idea is that a player can purchase a stack of 64 (probably less) of a certain block type, for example, Joe has no snow biomes in his world and spent months in at (doesn't want to restart), he can now but a block (or stack) of snow for 80 MSP ($1).
I'm not sure this makes sense to anyone, if it does, good. If not, I can make it a bit easier to understand.
It's a bad idea in the sense that nobody would be willing to do it. As much as I'd love to have all of the items, I'm not going to spend actual money on them. I might trade something in Minecraft for them, but I would never spend my money especially if all I have to do is make a world until I have what I need or look up what seeds have what I need.
No one whats to wast there money on items! You can just start a new world.
Nobody wants to read atrocious grammar.
What if you started a world on release, and let's say you want melon seeds later (When 1.8 comes). Now, you can't get any because you loaded every chunk and can't ever have an abandoned mineshaft, thus no chance of melon seeds. If this was an option, you could buy some, or have them as a one time (per item) free download, you can now have melon seeds.
I like the idea except it should be free due to the limitations of the Xbox version. Everyone gets a free Care Package full of things their world may not contain. Or add this to the villagers' trading ability, assuming we can get a village to spawn. ie: trade wool to receive melon seeds, trade flint for clay, etc...

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Horrible idea, one of the worst I've seen. I would simply start a new world if I didn't find what I was looking for. (sorry if that was a little harsh)

Nobody seems to understand, oh well.
Scrap the idea.
It's a cool idea bro, just the real money scares people...
1) not 4J's style but it could provoke 4J to design the game to purposely leave a few things out of many worlds (not probable but possible)
2) I've noticed many many people who play this still live under their parents roof and most likely must obtain money through a medium, such as a parent. Parents aren't usually very advid to fork over more and more money on a game they don't play and most likely don't understand.
You DO have a good idea thougb, just remember everyone loves free. Especially how 4J has been very nice to us and the free updates and such.
Working off your idea, it'd be cool if they included villagers in the next update with the villages (not going to happen but one day we'll get them). THEN you should be able to trade emeralds or diamond for cactus, sugar, any of that.
That'll have to be a few updates away however.
Like I said, good idea though.

If anyone wants to play Bauldur's Gate (1, 2, or enhanced) or Icewind Dale PLEASE PM me. I'd like to play.
I'm sure its been discussed in other posts but I would much rather see some sort of trade room for players to put up resources for trade. I know I wouldn't be dropping money on that stuff. I explore most of my world first and if i don't see enough of what I'm looking for on the surface its on the next one or just build with what I have. Trading with villagers would be good down the road too.

Wow, now THAT'S a great idea!
A trading room where you could exchange items with other players from all around the world?
Dude that's brilliant. I never thought on something like that.
Now you see, my friend has spent A LOT of time playing on his world. Just to figure out a few days ago, that there are no Pumpkins there, we spent like 3 hours searching every single corner of the map and couldn't find a single one. And now he is really mad 'cause he wanted pumpkins to wear as a hat and when the 1.8 update comes out it would help a lot against the endermen.

Retired StaffNot sure why, care to explain?
Somebody is without something and want it, so they can buy it.
Maybe each item could be a one time free download?

Curse PremiumIf people didn't want to cheat and because the minecraft world maximum is very large, they could find some (and they will eventually).
Erm...
You DO realize we're in the XBOX sub-forum.
Xbox has LIMITED world size, no mods (except 360Revolution, which is against TOS), and no commands.
