House keeps catching fire with lava floors even though I've made it so the lava isn't touching the wood blocks but the lava is touching sand, which is the foundation of my house which I've built on the beach and its lava than glass, than 3 spaces and than my 2nd floor starts so idk what could be happening and it seems to be coming from the same direction. Please Help!
How close is the wall to the lava? Lava can supposedly start fires up to 4 blocks away. Doesn't matter if anything is in the way, it can go through it.
i heard lava acts like fire, anything within 4 blocks has a chance to get set on fire you can always make house out of non flammable materials to keep the floor

They are correct, it'll spread upto 4 blocks vertically, 1 block horizontally, and 1 block diagonally. I have experimented with the same idea after someone asked the same question maybe a week back.
