So I have been playing Minecraft on the Xbox for a while and have stepped up my game. Been messing around with redstone abilities, and created a light house. I'm not going to lie when I say I followed a youtube tutorial, but it got the job done. When I turn it on, however, the whole server lags, and it runs like trash. I also created a zipper elevator and I would stop like 1/4 of the way up the elevator. Is this because the xbox can't keep up with the game? Anyone else having trouble with this? I guess let me know.
I had the same problem when I built an elevator on my friend's world. Try switching to offline game and see if it will work better. I would have tried this with my elevator but it's on my friend's world.
Also, I've noticed that only 20 TNT can be lit at the same time, if you try to light 21, the last one will literally disappear. It could be the same problem with that as well.
There is a patch coming out in a few days dealing with FPS drops and piston issues. Hopefully it will fix issues like this.

It seems the problem with light houses is they cause lag with having to constantly update the lighting. As for pistons, it isn't that the Xbox can't keep up, they are just a little bugged right now. A bug fix update should be released by the end of next week that should fix pistons for the most part.
The issue with the pistons is due to 4J being in such a rush to fix a minor bug which would allow you to change the color of wool using pistons. Rather than find a way to fix the bug, they broke pistons so that we couldn't CHANGE THE COLOR OF WOOL
And yes, I'm mad that my 854x854 world didn't spawn with cacti and this glitch would have been the only way to get green wool for me. And because its a stupid reason to break pistons.
The actually revolving light house tutorial you mainly find with glow stone is buggy on xbox, glowstone and pistons do not work properly, they will end up fixing it. Plus I dont think it looks that good anyways. You are better off coming up with your own design
Hahaha great posts everyone, it's good to heard that they're going to fix the bugs with the pistons. I actually tore down my elevator and created a water elevator.... Looks like I'll be rebuilding that. I'm guessing that this goes along with my hidden entrance where sometimes the pistons decide not to open. Ha, thanks pistons....
