Hey guys, today I found myself not being to load my world as it would either freeze imediately after selecting to start or after I hit A to start it would just sit there with the background of the tutorial world. I am able to hit B and go back to the previous menu just before where you would be loading the game. But when it freezes, I have to restart the XBOX entirely. I've seen this is on the known bug list, but was wondering if anyone has managed to fix this problem on their own. Put a lot of work into this world, would be a real shame to have to start fresh prior to the 1.8.2 update.

Yup. Corrupted File. Try clearing your cache. Also, some people who had corrupted files were working after one of the bug fix updates. So, Maybe you should wait for one of the bug updates (which will be in a week or 2) and see if it works.

It has been in cert testing for about 4 days, so about 6-7 days it will be out

I got the same trouble,since i build new house, before it worls, i put a lot of time in this nd theres no way i can open it? i have this world onmy harddrive and 2 usb stick. also in my computer.
I don't know if you play with hostile mobs. If so try loading it up in peaceful. One time my save got stuck where every time I tried to load it would just freeze the xbox. Loading it up in peaceful worked. Then I switch it back later. Cant speculate on what the issue was or how changing the difficultly solved it. Or for that matter if its the same issue as yours. Maybe it works for you maybe it doesn't.
Did you have it backed up on USB stick or on your xbox live cloud storage at all?

Yes. In fact, I take it a step further. I ping-pong my backups between 2 memory cards so that I always have the most recent 2 saves backed up. That way, if one save is corrupted by the game itself (and then that corruption gets copied to the latest backup), I still have a good file to return to.

I usually play peaceful, but I've tried every difficulty, no luck. Just holding out hope that maybe the bug fix fixes it. Though very unlikely it fixes an all ready corrupt file.
I had an issue with the game freezing my Xbox. I was on Hard, I saved and went to switch to Peaceful- when I tried loading the game froze. I tried loading another 3-4 times and it eventually loaded on Hard mode again, where I immediately went back to my house and re-saved.
It took a few tries, but it eventually loaded.. So I suggest you just keep trying..
