I saw this one post about someone putting someone that griefed them on the ban list. Is that a feature in the game, or is it his own handmade list? Also i saw something about a ban level or something, and I know about when you kick the person they can't join until you start a game again.
There's no blacklist for XB360; there was another thread about this recently, until it got locked out. Wouldn't help anyway, as people can change their gamertag at will.
Best things you can do:
Remove them from 'friends' list
Only allow friends, not friends of friends
Don't ever save when unknowns are in your map. Always revert to an earlier version.
If a griefer slips by you, you can 'block communications', and I think you used to be able to actively avoid certain players. It's like your own individual ban list, but just for you. Can't remember if they kept that after the last dashboard update...

Correct, there isn't a way to do this in miecraft, but if you pull up the xbox "dashboard", go to the friends tab and then over to "recently played" you can choose to "avoid player"

Avoiding players just makes it so that games with matchmaking or quick join options are less likely to put you in the same game with that player. I'm pretty sure it does nothing if that player deliberately joins the game you're in or you join a game that they are in.

Damn, that sucks. Well, not allowing friends of friends & making it invite only is the next best thing I guess.
You can review/report players on Live...... Not everyone has 5 stars for a reason.... It's True you can Avoid a user but, there is no guarantee they arn't looking for you..... A single or Local game is the ONLY safe bet though, You cannot BAN a user on the 360 at this time.
