will there be mods for mcx360? because I love vanilla minecraft (especially beta) but I'd like mods or texture packs... I'd like to see how many people want mods, or texture packs. feel free to use emotocons to tell other players if you'd like mods or texture packs

*sigh* use the search bar cause this is redundant but i will still answer anyway they ARE looking into the possibility of mods and texture packs we do not know for sure if they will be implemented but its being looked into
4J's primary concern is getting the Xbox version caught up to the PC. Everything is taking a back seat to that right now. If we were to see mods (which, at this point, are only a strict possibility and nothing more), they would be well-off into the future. We'd also very likely have to pay for them as DLC.
I think that it might not come soon, considering not even the PC version has official support of mods. They wouldn't put up third party dangers on the Xbox.

"4J has a degree of control over which Minecraft PC features make the cut, he went on. "We are working with Daniel Kaplan at Mojang to define what is going in to the Xbox version, but the aim is to include as many of the PC features that make sense on the Xbox as possible. The game isn't Minecraft on the Xbox, it is Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, so it isn't really a direct port of the PC game."

This is the argument everyone makes. Regardless of these statements, I sincerely doubt that 4J will stray as far as many people seem to think. Yes, we will probably get special content that is exclusive to the Xbox. However, I can't see 4J cutting the fundamentals/features of the game out in any way. Some cuts are understandable, with those being the features that would strictly work only on the PC. The game sold well for a reason: people wanted to play Minecraft on their Xbox.
Mods will just be another piece of DLC. They won't be mods like you think either. They'll be official things, made by 4J, for Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition.
Just like how Bethesda makes DLC for it's games, etc, etc. Something like Dawnguard is technically a mod, but it's official DLC so we don't call it a mod.
