I said does it matter having the dust run into the block instead of having it along side it. Which....what rocky mentioned too. 2 dusts so its "running into it"
I was going by your last post saying you will give it a try (response to rocky) I thought you were meaning the wire going into the block part, upon re reading I see you might be talking about the button issue? Sorry if I misunderstood
Nevermind, I looked at it again and I see what you're doing. The bottom input of the AND gate isn't turning on, or off rather, because the line isn't actually connected to the block, it only looks like it is. (This is fixed in an update at some point.) Just take the dust out one extra meter so you have a perfectly straight line into the gate.
Hmmm... might read that again. I even explained that in beta version there's a visual glitch that makes redstone dust look like it's connected to torch-blocks that it's not actually connected to. I never said "just connect it" or anything along those lines.
Either way, why is this thread coming back? Didn't it die a month ago?
only other thing i can think of is sometimes RSdust or RStorch can glitch and stop working, ive had this on my map a few times, reloading the map or moving away from the area normally resolves the issue, if you still cant get it working i can add you and take a look at it for you ?
ive built some pretty complex stuff with redstone so know it fairly well
No offense, I know you're trying to help, but we've been over all of this a month ago. I'm also pretty sure I've experienced more redstone bugs than at least 80% of Minecrafters on 360. Clearing the cache and re-updating is the best way I've found to fix the glitches. Either way, I end up with 10 - 20 more corrupted blocks within the first 5 minutes of playing on my map.
guess im in the 20% then
does it really matter if this post has reappeared after a month, obviously hes still got the issue,
i had big problems yesterday and none of what you just said worked, only thing that did was to play offline
but yes, i was only trying to help
I really doubt that, but I'll let it go. :lol:It was somebody else that necro'd the thread. OP's problem was resolved a long time ago.
It works just fine for me. That or removing the problem blocks, save and exit, load, replace. That's basically how they do it on PC. The only problem is on Xbox, you just get another glitch with repetitive use. Which is usually within a minute on my latest machine.
