It is my dream to make a single map-wide city and this can only be accomplished with Creative mode. It will also have parts of it on the oceans on docks with mine rails going toward them.
This is what I want to do, but I'm going to try keep a medieval theme throughout
Yeah I haven't decided if I want to make it medieval or modern... I have good ideas for both:
Medieval: castles, walls surrounding portions of the whole map, arenas (though these would be limited to dueling arenas and not decorative like soccer or baseball or US football) and other stuff.

Modern: Arenas (soccer, baseball, US football), skyscrapers, hotels, restaurants (including based on real life), other various buildings neighborhood housing, monorail and a lot of other stuff.
Both; Tree orchards, farms (since there will be a lot more stuff to plant), docks, mine cart tracks and more.
