It's really up to what your preference is. Would you rather have a toned down version of the game where you can sit comfortably in your couch and play it on your tv, or a more advanced version on your computer.
Well, I personally think the PC version is awesome, but like other people said they have their pro's and cons. If you're much of a console gamer and play Minecraft Xbox 360 version everything is much familiar and comfortable. Crafting is also easy in the 360 version. There will be updates for the 360 version that will ad creative mode and what not. You can't join random peoples servers on the 360 edition either only if you have them as your friend. Also, Some things will not be added to the 360 version that PC has. I play Minecraft with friends on the Xbox and I have a ton of fun. If you're in a situation where you'd have to give up your PC for an Xbox 360, I suggest you not do that and just stick with PC version.
well xbox is a few versions behind. Plus NO MOD support.. i like mods and free skins so i like the pc better. i do have both xbox and PC, plus both skin packs
Well I would get an Xbox 360 anyway not just for Minecraft but for other games. I have both Xbox 360 and PC versions and they're both good in different ways. Sometimes the PC version especially for beginners can bog you down but the Xbox 360 version is user friendly and you can get into Multiplayer easy. If you are a beginner in Minecraft then the Xbox 360 version is ideal to get into it.
Xbox i prefer because my friends play Minecraft on there, and also the simpler crafting system I love. But PC has mods is fully up to date Minecraft, Larger worlds, Servers with many people. (Xbox can only go up to 8 people in a game.) But Xbox you can play Minecraft on your TV which is probably bigger than your monitor and yuo could sit on your couch or somewhere comfy. Also they are updating 360 edition.

Actually, you should wait until one of the next gen consoles comes out, because on that, the version would probably be better than PC because PC will always have the 256 mb minimum, while the nextbox will not have that limitation, also PC is in java, so it will be a memory hog and run slow if you don't have a top notch computer. They might as well call the nextbox version the ultimate edition because it will have way more stuff than PC will ever had. Just going by the expected specs.
You can play while sitting on a couch (I guess you could on the PC too, but that might place you too far away)
There is splitscreen for up to 4 people (great for parties)
Easier, quicker multiplayer
Simpler crafting
No lag
Will be updated
I had to highlight the one item on your list I laughed at. Clearly you haven't tried to make niagra falls by using a ton of dynamite. Not to mention when playing multiplayer anytime someone else opens a chest it cause the whole game to just stutter for a second.
I vote for xbox only because it is more comfortable taking a controller and playing on the couch with a couple of friends Also updates are coming out which include more and more features from the pc version so i don't mind. And of course it will never be exactly up to par but that is not my point.

I play multiplayer and split screen all the time and I have never encountered this problem. ( Though of course letting off a ton of tnt is going to lag the xbox. It has an older operating system then the pc.)
I don't think it is a good idea to buy an xbox JUST for minecraft. If your computer is decent then why not. Mine is crap and i play a lot of other games on the xbox so that is another reason why i bought it for the console.
At work, I sit at a computer all day 5 to 6 days a week. When I get home from a long day of work, the last thing I want to do is sit at a computer to play a game. I know it's all in my head, but its much easier for me to separate the two when they're two different platforms.
you cant compare the xbox with pc, pc has released way before and is way more advanced, and the xbox is very old so it cant get above its current level.
I prefer the Xbox 360 edition, because it's easier to craft things, and the simplicity of it is just really fun. I like the PC version, but I like the Xbox 360 edition better.

So tell me should I get a xbox 360 for my birthday or just keep my pc?
Tell me which is better thanks it will really help me.
The PC Version:
- Much more content
- Allows mods
- Allows texture packs
- Freedom of skins
- "Infinite" worlds
- More multiplayer variety
The Xbox Version:- You can play while sitting on a couch (I guess you could on the PC too, but that might place you too far away)
- There is splitscreen for up to 4 people (great for parties)
- Easier, quicker multiplayer
- Simpler crafting
- No lag
- Will be updated
As mentioned, beyond some basic points, it's really impossible to say which is better. You should play whichever would be more convenient for yourself-
