Okay so I found a seed I really like at last. Problem is I don't under stand what the heck is going on with the worlds weather..
First thing I did was run around and open up my map. It's about 50%-60% (just guessing) water and has many smell-med size islands on it. I also love that it has a huge no tree flat land island on it!
Here is a map picture to give you an idea what I'm working with. (click for bigger pic)
The thing I don't get is what is going on with the weather! As you can see there is only one part on the bottom left that, the small island, that has snow and ice. Along with it the dark trees and what not.
But while running around, I also found one more spot that there seems to be snow! There is no ice no dark wood trees and only about a 20x20 block spot it ever seems to be.
BUT when it rains, no new snow ever seems to fall.. I tried putting water all around to see if the still water would freeze.. Nothing!
So why was there snow there at start up but now none will come back? I saw more on the tops of trees at first but nothing now..
I thought that if you found snow or ice that spot would always have it? Am I wrong?
Now I'm worried about doing anything to the other snow spot on the map..
So what gives?

This isn't something I've had an issue with. The way I understand it that if there's snow there, then when it rains, there should be more snow (instead of the rain).
