I couldn't find if anyone else had had the same problem as me, so forgive me if this has come up.
I made a new world last week and eventually made a nether portal, and when I went through, it spawned me in a hole surrounded by nothing but netherrack. Any direction you dig in eventually leads to bedrock.
I tried getting a friend to break the portal from inside the nether and then tried entering again and it just spawns one right beside the old one, or in another small room with just netherrack.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't want to start a new seed because I've already spent a lot of time on it.
How far are you digging? The nether is completely surrounded by bedrock, so you should eventually hit it regardless of which direction you dig. It's also only 1/3 the size of the overworld on the 360 version, so from one side to the other is only around 350 blocks. If it's considerably smaller than that on yours, then there probably is something wrong, but I don't know what to tell on that one.
