I made a large, 100 x 100 stone foundation in the middle of a lake, only to find later that one corner of the foundation had turned into coal ore. There is no way that I put it down, as I don't hack, and it wasn't already there. Is this a known glitch, or am I the only one this has happened to?
I have heard about a similar glitch on the PC where mining stone it would turn into coal. I wonder if it might be related. Not sure how it is done though.
I know I know!
It's just a small bug in the game, everything underground is originally stone and sometimes there isn't a block update to replace the stone with coal, dirt, gravel, etc and it later becomes that. Sometimes while I'm mining dirt will pop up instead of cobble.
I've flatten stone moutins to meet sea level and came back later to find coal and iron veins that weren't there when I was leveling it off. I just figured it was a way to fix the resource issue of the Xbox world size.

The reason some people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.
I guess its a problem with stone walls. Its kinda odd how specific it is.
