I personally think it'll be in September, but that's my opinion and once again 4J as released no official date and wont untill a day or two before it releases.

Is there any confirmation on the content of the update?
I think you're talking about 1.8 beta, which has come and gone long ago. What I believe you are looking for though is the 2nd Adventure update (1.3, the next up and coming update) which is this coming wednesday
