It has A LOT of sand in areas of the map but a lot of grass and trees and stuff too. Found a ton of cactus... there has to be close to 100 cacti on the map. Found quite a bit of clay in spots... enough for perhaps 6 or 7 full (64) clay piles so far and haven't searched everywhere... found at least 10 sugar cane stalks as well and 6 pumpkins so far. A bit of snow in one area, not much... haven't explored the whole map though.
Been mining a lot and so far found a lot of iron, a lot of redstone (enough to fill a whole top row of a large chest and more with piles of 64 so far) 24 diamonds so far (9 in one area), 50+ gold, 150+ lapis lazuli... been finding some pretty good coal spots so far but I use so much so often that I have to go out and find some more....
This is all from mining near the left center of the map and also under the northern edge of a very large desert at a very large hill with a lot of sand.
Making a beach town near the left center of the map and just finished making my home, a large modern glass house with indoor greenhouse and a tree farm in the back.
1024 is good for survival, you're in a prarie but theres forest, desert, swamp, and taiga biomes nearby not to mention the near-surface spider spawner under the ocean right next to a ravine so spiders can just appear out of the water to the south.
Mine is "seedless grapes" no quotes has tons of floating sand by the spawn and giant caves with overhangs begging to be a cliff HQ tons of above land stuff that is just awesome
My current seed is "turnofthetides". This seed is full of mountains, but apparently is the flattest we have right now. I can't wait for the terrain generator to change.
Im going to use one called 420, so awesome in the southeastern area are some cloud high sheer sided mountains with big overhangs and arches, and a lil further east of there are some Knife edge mountains.
I used "Hatsune Miku" with no quotes and exact capitalization and I got a Forest, Taiga, and a Jungle biome all at the spawn, as well as a cave and a partially above-ground ravine.
My current one is worstseedever . It spawns you right next to a dungeon the connected to a extremely deep cave. So far I have found 27 diamonds and that's just from 2 hours playing!
i decided to make a Random seed, its called Green day. really cool, tons of caves w/ iron, coal, and lava water falls. i dont remember if i put a space between green and day so just try both of them

It's a fantastic seed. Got a lot of ideas to make it by biggest and best world.
It's positively dripping with a flood of possibilities.

It is, by far, the most dramatic, visually appealin map I have seen.
I found a GREAT natural cave with 4 entrances high up in a mountain that is my base of operations.
I'll get the coordinates if you want to check it out.
It's kinda cool.
