I am curious about updates and seeds and maps.. On one hand you read seeds are all the same map for any player and chunks that have been explored will not update. So if my seed number is used with another player who has explored the entire map, (even though i havent played with them) does that mean my map has already been predefined even if my map chunks havent been explored

Yep, it would all be the same. That's why people share seeds with each other.

so its pointless not to explore because it probaly has already been defined, you just dont know if it has or not.
