Watching Youtube stars got me Minecraft on the Xbox. I thought I wouldn't like it but now its one of my favorite games of all time.

same. I first saw it when seananner's introduced it on the PC, and i wanted to play it really bad but for some reason I never really got around to buying Minecraft until it came out for the xbox.

My son was watching you tube videos of Minecraft from the time it was announced for xbox until it came out. He showed me a few and I didn't get it. I made fun of the graphics, the building, just about everything.. I couldn't believe that he was interested in these graphics after playing COD MW, Halo Battlefield 3 and Mass effect. Then when it was released in May I Actually sat down and watched him play with friends and i was hooked. I bought it the next day and I eat, sleep, and dream Minecraft. I am browsing the fiorums and you tube when not playing,. I even plot builds out on graph paper and now MS Paint. I may not be the best builder, and really dn't comprehend redstone completely, yet, but I am utterly addicted to Minecraft. I just finally was able to spawn slime yesterday and was running around the house like a 4 year old. My wife thought I was crazy. She also enjoys watching me play and is amazed at some of the builds i show her that others created but she won't play.

Agreed my older brother is exactly like that -.-

And such is life. The expression "dont judge a book by its cover" is popular because so many people do just that. It is hard not to form an initial first impression right away.

Halo sucks, in my opinion, but then again there are only two first person shooters I've ever really liked...Goldeneye and Timesplitters.....I've always preferred the third person shooters like Resident Evil, Max Payne, Red Dead Redemption, and Gears of War...My favorite genres has always been fantasy rpg and puzzle solving games...but now I mostly play one game since it came out for Xbox...Minecraft

Lol. I hated the graphics at first and didn't see how people could get into such an ugly game like that then I watched some of Alchestbreach's Minecraft videos that made it look really fun and enjoyable, so I decided to wait and purchase the 360 edition. I love it!

I bought the game straight after watching one short minecraft video on Youtube. The video was like 4:00 minutes long. Hooked ever since. lol

I know what you mean hhaha i play and i didnt like the graphics so i wasnt interested then i saw someone play it and saw amazing buildings. But i usually show my gf my builds aha she play somtimes though.

I cannot wrap my head around how many people honestly think visuals of a game contribute, in any meaningful way, to how good it is. This seems to be EVERYONE'S story. It was absolutely not mine. I watched a single "surviving the first night" video back in alpha. That was all it took. Its adult legos with zombie attacks thrown in.

In what sane world is adult legos with zombies EVER a bad thing? I'm tempted to grab a sock full of legos and just go beating people with em now. "LIKE THIS NAO!"

I'm currently in the Army Reserve and enjoy the hell out of this game. I'm in a community of all military or former military members and minecraft addiction has been spreading like crazy since someone got a pc server. Now they are getting it on xbox as well.

Definitely a right brain game, and not everyone is creative or has the patience to be creative. All my friends were hating on me, and now their infected, lol.
