My Idea is that they would fall into a pit filled with Soulsand. Then somehow either a lever or a pressure pad would make the lava come out of the walls
I was helping my parents with Grocerices.Yea 2 problems... I dont have Gold and another one... Which Piston should I use? cause I was testing the Sticky piston out and I need it tstarting in the pusing formation. But Idk how to do thar
You will probably only need normal pistons. To start a piston in the out position put a redstone torch next to it. That's about all I can help you out with, I'm no redstone guru.
The problem for that is if you pour lava into a hole with a creeper in it
1. The lava will take forever to go away by itself
2. The drops will get destroyed.
You didn't provide much information on your plan so that's only my best guess as to what your planning to do.
Maybe dig a hole going about 5 blocks down then on the 2nd to top layer put a sign then above the sign put lava so the drops will fall through. I don't think the creeper itself would fall through though.
The problem with that though, would be getting the creeper to get into the hole.

Well if you were to connect the circuit so you then applied power that torch, via a block, then it would turn off and the piston would shut presumably ?
Say what? Ok here is the thing... This is my plan...
Ok first step.... have a tunnel 1 block wide.
2nd Step... Pressur plate so then the person would step on it and fall in the block in front of them since they are still moving.
3rd step... They land or step on Pressure Plate which is in the Pit which they fell in... Which triggers step 4 but I forgot to mention the floor of pit is Soul Sand so when Lava comes out they will walk slowly and have a big chance of dying
4th step... Pistons retract and Lava comes out of the walls...
5th step: They can escape... There will be a cobblestone corner which they can dig out and it will open into a small tunel which will be an escapee also.
6th step.. They either die by this time or escape into Secret tunnel... which will also be booby trapped...
Problems: How can I have a piston with the starting postion of pushing a block. And then retract when the person stands on Pressure plate. Ive tried it sorta, and it didnt work... Just need help on that and that will complete my work.
if i am not mistaken, place piston, place block on top, two spaces away from piston place a block, on the side of the block facing piston place restone torch, this should power the piston extending it. Apply a circuit to the back side of the block that the torch as the block and torch are already on when a plate is pushed the power from the circuit will then invert the signal turning torch offf and retracting the piston, least that is what i understand of it, i havent actually built that myself.
