Hello. I have been building on Minecraft for at least a year now and have learned the ins and outs especially on the pc. On the pc, there is an obvious difference in versions due to the xbox being released yearly and I completely understand why they did this. The problem I am having is making my house look good without blocks like brick stairs, sandstone blocks, etc. My question is whether or not other people have problems making their buildings look diverse with the limitations of the system? There is another reason I am having this problem and that is the default texture pack. For some unknown reason, I am having problems making the blocks blend together well. I do not seem to have this problem with texture packs enabled on pc. I would appreciate some advice on how to make blocks blend together, since the xbox version has the default texture pack. Thank you (First post)
You know what, let me be a little more specific. The problem I am running into is all my buildings end up being wood and most of my village or city looks wood. It is either this or cobblestone. When I try to replace the wood you used in your picture with other materials it just doesn't come out right. Does anyone have any other combinations that have worked for them besides wood and wooden planks or stone and cobblestone. Pictures would be appreciated like TheMagneticMonk did.
