The big two issues being addressed with the bug fix are rendering issues that have been causing FPS drops and piston glitches. We're not entirely sure what else is being fixed yet.

Fixing ANY of the myriad of bugs would be welcome. I really love this game, but damn, some of the bugs make me want to eat my controller.

FPS issues we have resolved, this was due to a lighting issue with the 1,8 Lighting system we added in.

Piston glitches we are currently working on.

I also heard that animals will stop de-spawning, and a lot of people will be glad. But I'm not too sure so if you get mad at me, it's not my fault

That's with the 1.8 update I believe. And that simply allows for catching animals keeping them in pens and such.
