There will be a big update for the PC Version on 1st of august (1.3), do you think that they would update the game like the PC Version? Like adding stuff like: emeralds, new creative mode inventory, new adventure mode,etc...
4J already announced that after they update the game to 1.8 they're going to jump right to 1.2.5. And then by then we should be pretty close to PC Minecraft. After our 1.2.5 we should expect another update to catch up to the PC Minecraft as it is by then
I'd say 2013. The 360 Edition is skipping several version by going to 1.2.something after it goes to 1.8.2. Possibly 1st quarter 2013. Let the rumors start!
I'm having trouble tryign to figure out what your question is.
If it's will the 360 Edition catch up to the PC edition the answer is yes, eventually.
If it's will the 360 Edition ever update the answer is yes, it already has.
If it is will the 360 Edition update to 1.3 alongside the PC then the answer is no, the 360 edition has it's own update schedule.
Look, i know what you're saying but it would be too late until we get these features, and besides, who knows, right now there are 1.8.2 and 1.2.3 (they said that they are the current plans now) so i don't think that they will catch up to the pc version with ONLY 2 UPDATES, correct me if i'm wrong because i don't really know about these things.....
The nice thing about Minecraft for PC is that it is ever evolving. Not necessarily because it is profitable, but because Mojang is dedicated to constantly making it better. This will not be the case with the Xbox version. There will come a time when the profibility of the game will not match the need to update the game. I give the Xbox version of the game 1 to 2 years where it will be updated and then it will be considered stable. We should enjoy the updates while we can.

It is actually 1.2.3 after 1.8.2.
As for them catching up, I do think they will be at most 1 update behind. It is possible some of the stuff in 1.3(and future 1.4) won't apply to us since it involves blending SMP and Single player, so they may not take that long to get. I do not think we will be getting same day releases for updates as the PC. I don't think 4J will be working on an update until it comes out for PC. So I do think it can be on par with the PC version at times(depending on how long the next PC update takes), but it will still be behind at least a couple weeks right when a new update comes out.
Xbox already has stuff the PC one doesn't have. And it will get it's own "exclusive" content.
Two separate programs, on two separate platforms, each kinda following the same road... but in different lanes.
I don't think worrying if the xbox will ever "catch up" to the PC matters. You guys are only thinking about now- when the xbox is gonna update to 1.2.5. Heck, 1.3 is already announced! With a moving target like that, how can it "catch up"?
The question shouldn't be: "When will the xbox have all the features of the PC?"
In the near future the question will be: "When will the PC ever have all the features of the xbox?"
Seeing as how 1.4 is probably going to take the longest out of almost any Minecraft update, they'll have their chance to catch up.
1.4 is going to be the update with Modding API for the PC and that is going to take Jeb and the Bukkit Team the longest time to do out of anything. So it'll be a while before the PC sees that update.
Not really we already have a better crafting system
Have to agree with this. This crafting system definitely beats having to look at the Wiki to learn everything. Plus, if you already know all the crafting combinations, this is much quicker.
The PC recipes are simplified to the point where don't something to tell you once take the 10 mins to research. Crafting on the PC is faster than the Xbox once you know the basic recipes. Especially with the shift+click feature. It also adds more to the game atmosphere where you're actually making something and not press A on pictures.
Also, what does the crafting system have to do with this topic?

That's awfully one-sided.
