Dungeons are randomly generated in spots with certain conditions. If you load a seed and find a spawner then load the same seed again and go to those coordinates, chances are the dungeon wont be there. Slimes and mine shafts have specific chunks they will always generate in. Mine shafts will always load in the same chunk but will generate differently every time. Hope that helps. Oh and all this info is tested and confirmed.
I think something may be off in your testing. Given the same seed and the same update version of the game, dungeons will always spawn in the same spots.

Yeah you are right. I found a zombie spawner in a mineshaft. When i reloaded the seed from scratch it changed the mine shaft and changed the spawner to a spider spawner and moved it several blocks away. It was the mine shaft generation that changed it. All other spawners in the seed were unchanged. Don't know why that specific info stuck in my mind when i see vids showing seeds with spawner locations. Well any way my apologies for the semi-bad intel. On a side note, if we ever get red stone blocks we can make spawners. Check out the "Cobra" on youtube. Sick stuff.Correction: look at Panda survival #20 to see the Cobra.
