I highly doubt there are any "dungeon finders" for the 360. Pretty sure there are only a handful for the PC. But I think they use your save file. Not sure. Just go exploring caves & dig towards the sound of Zombies & Spiders. You're bound to find one eventually.
There could be a finder somewhere, I mean, if you have used the seed: "worstseedever", you'd realize that people have found dungeons in the exact same places that people say, only with your spawn being different.
That's what I'm talking about. If dungeons are in set places within seeds, there should be a list of locations somewhere. You should be able to search for them like you would slime chunks.
Post your seed and see if anyone here has coordinates. A lot of people are bored and will go out of their way to try and find them... Including myself.

The difference is Dungeons generate differently then Slime Chunks, and they're much less common (I think). I'm just guessing, but I highly doubt theres any easy way to find them. I've found 13 by just exploring on my own.
I believe I have come upon a rare dungeon since I came across a Skeleton Spawner that's basically on the surface. Then found a Zombie Spawner not too far from that. Almost on the other side of the map I found a Spider Spawner at the bottom of a cliff.
I have an app on my Android caled "Fortress Finder" tha locates nearby fortresses in the nether by using the map scceed and your current coordinates. I'm kind of suprised that there isn't such a thing for dungeons. Hmmm.
Dear ThankOurTroops, I looked for a website to find dungeons for you but I could not find one. However I found a seed (But I just realized it was on the pc that I found it) that has a pretty nice plains biome surrounded by multiple other biomes. also there is a dungeon near the spawn and in it is diamond horse armor (which is only in the most recent pc updates). If you want the seed it is 6920116920325703810. and the coordinates to the dungeon are X: 271 Y: 12 Z: 64
Btw Awesome username.
The most reliable way to find dungeon coordinates is to scour forums for people posting them. This is complicated though by needing to make sure they are actually talking about the same seed AND that they created the map with the same or similar version number. (This is probably the big limitation in creating a dungeon finder program as well.)
I have an old gargamel seed created and explored by TU1 or so and last year I went through a bunch of forum searches trying to find dungeon coordinates and compiled a list of about 70 probable dungeon locations. (Someone posted a pretty reliable list of about 30 of them one time). I didn't do much with the list for a long time, but I recently piloted out all the coordinates on a 'map' which made it much easier to visualize where all the dungeons I had were and where to dig. I've made my way through about a third of the list and a large percentage of them have actually had dungeons there. I've tried adding more to the list, but most coordinates for gargamel stopped a long time ago, mostly because after TU5 or so it was no longer possible to add new searchers for my version of the seed.
Don't know why everybody is having such a hard time with this :/
If I remember correctly the 360 seeds and the pc seeds can still be used in either version.
Granted the 360's map will only be 500x500x256 compared to a pc which is ????x????x256.
Now, the coordinates might be waky, but you should be able to find the same landmarks within the same seed.
If you then use the pc with a 360 seed you want to find, just use the fly command and fly around for a bit to uncover the same area as the 360 map.
Now you save that world, open MCEdit and search for the "Mossy Cobblestone" and "ching ching, you got bling!"
I remember that someone was using this methode long ago... You should even be able to search for mobspawner blocks.
Why, oh why have none of you seen this been used before? I feel old... T_T
It's true that if you do any sort of exploring you will stumble across dungeons eventually. But a dungeon finder has many useful purposes that are much harder to do if you are just searching randomly.
1) locate dungeons that are totally enclosed. You can be within a few blocks of a spawner and never know its there, especially if you are quickly going by and mobs don't spawn soon enough for you to hear them.
2) find dungeons by type. When you are randomly exploring you never know what you are going to get
3) find dungeons by loot. Some people are looking for specific stuff they can find in chests.
4) find dungeons by proximity to location or each other. Real useful for building mob farms near your base or spawners close together that can be exploited to make even bigger mob farms, etc.

Dungeons are randomly generated in spots with certain conditions. If you load a seed and find a spawner then load the same seed again and go to those coordinates, chances are the dungeon wont be there. Slimes and mine shafts have specific chunks they will always generate in. Mine shafts will always load in the same chunk but will generate differently every time. Hope that helps. Oh and all this info is tested and confirmed.

If anyone has any suggestions of websites that for example give coordinates of any mob spawners in a given seed, they would be greatly appreciated.
slime areas are random so why cant dungeons be found the same way?

Yeah, they are much more common than one might think.
