* WARNING: LOTS OF READING! * Me and two friends built this gigantic Mayan or Aztec pyramid temple. Its taken us 2 days starting yesterday to complete. It's taken over 350,000 blocks to make. It is 101x101x65 on a 111x111x1 man-made dirt base in the middle of an ocean. I had to clear out an island to make the base. A 31x31x12 palace/temple is atop of the giant pyramid. The top of the palace is the building limit. The pyramid is made of stone and cobblestone. There is a "golden city" inside of the giant pyramid with 4 golden small pyramids about 30x30x17 each, and a large golden pyramid in the middle about 30x30x25. There are roads connecting all the golden pyramids and also entrances into the "golden city". Any part of the golden city that doesnt have anything built onto it as all leveled and not running water. We also have 5 water falls comming from the roof of the temple, (4 small corner ones and 1 large middle one) that rain down onto the large golden pyramid and runs into the still pools. The roof and ceiling of the temple has pretty cool congruent symbols carved into them. On the map this thing is bigger than an island. We still have plans to make some thing inside all the golden pyramids. Tell us what you think! UsmcAviationist did 65%, LunaEclipsedXD did: 15%, BBC10 did: 25%. I planned it all and told them where to place things and stayed up late. They just helped build a little bit of everything. I'll leave the "duplication" a mystery. If you would like to see it in person hit me up a message!
EDIT: Added new pics of progress. New redstone thing added wheres you need to flip a switch in all the pyramids then press a button on the middle pyramid and you will get a diamond or a golden apple if your really lucky.
It looks great but you should booby trap certain places. It doesn't have to kill people, or your temple, but slow them down. Like pistons releasing water from the top down the stairs. Plus it would look pretty cool.
You should put a lava feature in the center of each square in the above photo. That would make add a little more colour than gold. lol
Don't get me wrong, it still looks great.

yah but its suppose to be the legendary lost aztec golden city.
Sorry I dont find it amazing, its monotonal build with dup blocks. Little to inspire or get overly excited about, wheres the touching finishes, traps, decor pretty basic design really. just big nothing special

Agh, I see. One question.. How is it lost if you've built it, & know where it's location is? lol
I mean its the one thats suppose to be real in real life. it obviously doesnt looks like that because it hasent been found.

If they hadnt found it before they musnt have been looking very hard, haha...
But seriously, great job, it looks amazing!
Well if the city is real then it would be a couple hundred feet underground maybe even caved in.
