i heard there's like an x-ray glitch? (i think that's what it's called)
it shows you all of the caves and stuff underground. you do it with pistons i think but i'm not sure how. can anyone explain? i'm wondering because i've explored a lot of caves and whatnot on my map. i spend a lot of time trying to find a good cave so seeing one through the map would be much easier.

Put a piston next to a block of TNT
dig a hole down 2 block
jump in and activate piston
When you jump in the hole, you place the piston two blocks above you, followed by the TNT on the space right above you. Touching the piston.
that's what i did but the piston never went off so it's something wrong with the redstone... but i don't know what it is because it's exactly how this guy has it.

I made the video. Haha. Make sure you're placing the redstone repeaters so they're facing the way I'm making them face. If they're facing the wrong way, it'll kill the circuit. This video was made on Xbox 1.7.3 so it does work. Just remember, you gotta be fast. if you're having trouble beating the current, to get the piston + tnt down, add more repeaters if needed.

Edit: Let me know if it works.
oh, haha my bad. i'll try it again tomorrow. i'm pretty sure i have everything right though.
I really hope they patch this is the X-Ray lag glitch caused by lag. You should have to dig to find things and explore caves... not cheat.
using it to find caves is fine? i think there should be something that helps you find caves because once you dig through so many, it's not that easy to find good caves anymore.

Just like finding a golden apple, you should feel accomplished by digging and searching for new places to explore. If you run dry... start a new map with a more varied seed.

i'm not going to throw all of my work away when i could simply do a glitch and find more caves. i know there's plenty of caves i haven't explored. finding them is somewhat difficult. my seed does not have a lot of cave entrances on the surface. when i find the cave, i'll explore it my own way. however, getting INTO a cave is my problem... like i said, i can never find a good one without searching for almost an hour...

It's a single player game for the most part, I really don't see why glitching in Minecraft is frowned upon so much.

People believe there's a moral code of ethics they should uphold when it comes to playing legit in single player. Why? To feel superior is all I can reckon. In multiplayer, I can understand the "non-glitching" rule. But not single player.

when you wanna get out break block of TNT
If this is true, then I am so trying this.
Awesome. Can you exit the hole & explore?
it works on multi player to
maybe im retarded but it's not working... yet it looks exactly like this guy has it.

They did not fix in 1.7.3 I didn't even see it untill 2 days ago when someone hopped in my world and made a very complicated *X-Ray Machine*

Oh too late sorry
