I was one of the lucky few that found slimes during my first couple of days. I just happened upon one, dug out a really large room that was three blocks high and I had pretty good success. I was up to three stacks of slimeballs by the time the piston update came.
Well, since they put coordinates on the map, I decided to mark the slime spawning chunks. I grabbed my map, got to two coordinates that were divisible by 16, and started putting cobble on every other block along the chunk edges. I figured that way, any of the big slimes would be trapped inside of the chunk that they spawned in. While clearing some cobble, one of the big slimes spawned within view. I dispatched it, and noted which chunk I was in. I then got my seed # and went to these two sites:
They both returned the same result. I was stunned. The chunk that my slime spawned in did not register on the map as a spawning chunk! As a matter of fact, according to both maps, there are no spawning chunks anywhere around.
Has anyone else discovered this? I didn't see anywhere to specify an xbox map, but evidently neither of these sites will identify a slime spawning chunk for the Xbox.
I'm not sure if those programs will work for the xbox version though...from what I understand also, the seeds are not always the same as those to the PC version, or at least it starts you on a different coordinate section.

It does work for Xbox, it is a tool meant for PC version but most chunks are the same. One thing that will spawn a different map is forgetting or adding the "-" in your seed. That one symbol will load 2 completely different seeds.
Maybe not the answer you were looking for, but best answer in this case.
PS - Trust me I have built over 40 slime farms for other people and I on Xbox, and not one of them didn't work.
