So if you've ever seen Batman, the movies, to get into the batcave you have to play notes to get into the batcave, I was wondering if you can do that with noteblocks? You hit the notes in order and it sets off a signal to open a secret entrance sort of like a combination lock a long with a note block combined with a secret entrance.
You could, but the actual output would not come from the noteblocks themselves. For instance, you could not just wire up five noteblocks and have players hit them in the right order to open a door. However, you could rig them up to buttons, so that while you are unlocking the door, the noteblocks are playing right along. Same effect.
Does anyone know if noteblocks will set off bud switches? If so, then ignore the above advice.
Noteblocks don't send redstone signals. Punching a Noteblock attached to Restone wouldn't do anything.
There is a way you could sort of pull it off though. It would require buttons instead, but you could still do the noteblocks. You just need to make a combination lock, then throw in some noteblocks for each button or lever of the lock and you have pretty much the same thing.

This thread bores me.
