So as most of us know by now, dealing too much damage to a slime causes it to not split and not drop slimes balls. I was wondering if this same principal applies to other mobs, does a mob that sustains too much damage garanteed to not drop anything?
I ask because I have a mob grinder built from the surface all the way up to the ceiling, and the mobs fall down the centre to the grinding area, wich is 1 layer of water deep and pushes them into the lava. I am going to start on another one, but if the top floors are useless then i will need to re-design my building.
So does a mob that has fallen 60 blocks to it's death drop nothing?
