So, in your opinion, what would you say to a doubter of Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition? Why is it worth putting in an extra $20? I may or may not use your posts to convince my friends to get it... >.>

He's a slacker jack and he's okay, he games all night and he sleeps all day.
It doesn't rely on horribly un-optimized Java coding.
It's smooth as butter and chilly chill as an ice cold mocha.
Playing Multiplayer is far, far easier and quicker.
The Xbox Version will, at some point (honestly not TOO far off), be up to date with the PC version.
It's great to play on a nice, big HDTV.
Splitscreen!
Something feels so right about sitting on a couch, Xbox controller in hand and playing MC with your Xbox buddies.
You'll get more playtime out of it than most $60 games.
I could go on and on <3
EDIT: I also support the previous poster's theory that the Xbox version is better. Mods were never important to me as I feel they completely ruin the game. Texture packs will likely come, so that's not too big of an issue. It's just wonderful.
I've spent about an hour on the Xbox version and I don't like it.
Servers suck
I don't like playing first person games with a controller
Random lag spikes
Limited map size
My PC runs it faster ALOT faster (I know some people have bad PC's though)
Skins are limited
DLC for Skins
Crafting menu is not the same. It's handy but spoils the fun in crafting
Not up to date this means they either going to slow the development of the PC version down or rush the updates
Yeah... I hope this helped
1.Servers run smooth with no problems.
2.Do you play CoD or something? Most games are first person.
3.Probably your internet connection.
4.Map size might increase but still big(in a way).
5.Good for you.
6.There will be more skin in the future.
7.Blame Microsoft.
8.Too bad.
9.They have to fix bugs and test out if new ones occur.
I'd say if the Xbox 360 version is up to date with PC, the Xbox version is better.
I'd recommend playing the Xbox 360 Edition than the PC if it were in 1.8 or above.
MC xbox wasn't written to compete with, or directly compare to, the PC version.
It was written for those new to minecraft who want to play it on their xbox.
PC players will never be happy with the xbox version.

Yes, when the 360 version become 1.8 or above, its definitely better than the PC Version..........It's just only a matter of time to get it up to date to the PC version.
I could care less for either skins or mods.
I have a family so I can't spent every single hour on Minecraft.
I have better things to do than memorize a crafting catalogue (or print one out).
I'm able to play regardless of internet connection, etc.
It's all a matter of personal preference. Personally I like that I can't mod the game, I tend to get carried away when I mod games and lose interest very quickly. I also prefer the controller over a mouse and keyboard. My Xbox will probably run it a lot smoother than my PC as well.
I also think the current lack of a creative mode is what makes it the best. What's the point if you don't have to work for any of these creations. You have nothing to be proud of when you can simply have any number of every material to build with!

Best I can tell ya', I have both, and haven't touched the computer version in the last two months. On xbox, it runs good, less hardware issues, and a good social network. Obviously, the PC version has its perks (mods), but again, I find myself playing the xbox version exclusively now.
I have both versions of the game. They are both fun to play, but you are right that they are slightly different games.
Say that Minecraft for the XBox is for more casual players. Players who like a less severe learning curve in playing the game. Enjoy the easier crafting mechanics, and are not bothered by the world size because it is not their goal to try and explore the world, but to enjoy mining and building. Everyone is playing the same game, same version, with no one having a mod that you would need to play on their world.
The PC version is more serious I guess, so far, in that you have no learning mode, but you have the big worlds to explore and build in. Playing using a keyboard is not for everyone, but you have access to more control keys at your finger tips. You have access to texture packs, and skins that change the look of the game, but not how it plays. I tried a 32 bits texture pack, and after a short while I develop lag that does not occur with the default skin pack, but it does look so much better. You can change the game to play the way you want it to with mods, because of the open nature of the game. Does everyone who play on the same server have to have the same mods to play?
On the PC if you do not know how to make something on the crafting table, it will either take a lot of work and experimentation to figure out what you need, and how to place it down, or you open up the Wiki page. If you are going to have to do that or had to do that, why would you put down the interface for the xbox which just tells you how to make it. The big advantage of the PC is if you want to play with a lot of friends or people you meet. The worlds are large enough that there is room for thirty two people to play an ongoing game. There are plenty of resources and land. The XBox is aimed at people who like to play but don't care about playing with a large group of people. I am one of those. I am private by nature. I aim to play mostly two players, sometimes three player games. I think if you get up to four players then that should have been the XBox limit, due to the world size. It is harder to spread out at four where every one could choose to have their own space if they wanted to.
If you are already a PC gamer then the controls feel normal. For me my hands are a little to large, and stiff to use the keyboard for extended play, so I will give the XBox a slight nod, but I could just add a controller to the PC, for extra cost, and give it the same feel.
The only mod I want for the PC is a crafting table mod or crafting book, since I have trouble remembering how to exactly place the resources to make something.
Which is best for someone else? I would not recommend one over the other, because I like them both, but I do like the XBox version better for me.
I have yet to purchase the PC version so I can't say much about it. I do enjoy the Xbox version and I spend lots of time playing with friends. I wouldn't say the Xbox version would be better than the PC version even though I haven't played it. Different people prefer different things. I do enjoy the ease of play and the controls were fairly easy to figure out. If you're unsure about purchasing it, the Trial is highly recommended. I was happy to have the trial available. You can find out for yourself how the controls work for you.

you like iced mochas?
best friends. <3
but yeah basically what this guy just said. on the pc, it lags quite a bit for me (my laptop sucks) but on xbox, i mean i run into an occasional invisible tree that beats the **** out of me but other than that, smoooth. i've always been an xbox fan and i prefer the controller anyway.
Just download the trial version. It's free and if you don't like it, you can always delete it. If you do like it, all you have to do is unlock it because you've already downloaded everything.
9. Missed my point. In order to catch up they're either going to have to rush (Never a good thing) Or slow down the development of the PC version.
You're kidding aren't you. The 360 version will always be the dumbed down version of the game.
Your 9. comment misses the fact that its 2 different games with 2 different development teams. If the pc has to slow down it will slow down but not because of anything the xbox edition is doing.
The xbox version isnt a dumbed down version its the same as the pc version (with some development specifically for xbox) as 1.7.3. Its a practical business run for profit development. The pc version doesnt have any control of what is mods built by anyone and is shared by anyone. Ask yourself this, if you wanted to spread a pc virus in minecraft shared programs, how would anyone detect it? You all save executable programs that get through firewalls. Atleast the xbox has in built controls to stop malice viruses getting into the system.if it cant be shared its safe along with all the other dtata that is stored.
To the op
Something to bear in mind, it may be in the future that the PC and the xbox versions talk to each otherq but currently if you have the pc version and your friends have the xbox version you wouldnt be able to play together.
