As you know players spawn in different places everytime they respawn, and i would like to make a spawn area
like on PC where you have signs and everything. there is one problem though, I dont know where the spawn area is. any help???
I am guessing you guys dont know what i am talking about..... Minecraft Xbox edition has a spawn area ( What I mean by that is that they dont spawn in the same place ) I know where My spawn point is but when other people join their spawn point is not where mine is.
AKA The world spawn point. If you removed your bed like smiffy said you would spawn back at the (world spawn point) where people spawn from joining your game (who havent changed there spawn point by sleeping in a bed), the area is 20x20
The reason people don't spawn near you is because they spawn int he designated spawn point. They do however not all spawn on the same block. In the vicinity though, so to make a spawn point just simply make the room on the bigger side.
OK enugh of the snipes. I know exactly what you mean. I have 1 map that I made a new copy of, the second copy of the same seed does NOT send you to the same spawn spot as the original. Dont know how to fix it but you are not making it up. One spawns on the west side of the map and the other the east side.
Made 2 more copies of the original seed
Copy 1 spawnisat x41 y65 z65
Copy 2 spawns at x-21 y 65 z-34
I always thought the map was an exact copy of the original apparantly spawn sites can be quite a distance
You're right. Xbox edition has a spawn area. There's no defined way (that I've found) to pinpoint the exact size of this area. My best suggestion is to have 7 people join your game and make a note of where they spawned. It should be an area about 20-30 blocks square. just having one point will make it difficult to narrow the size you'll want to block in.
I read somewhere that the spawn area is 32 blocks square, but I can't seem to find that source or any other post that verifies it.

As I said its 20x20 you can mark it out by killing yourself and placing a block where you spawn. It helps if you have firends to speed up the process
I've wondered about this too. I know the general area people spawn into my map but it never seems to be the exact block twice. The spawn area seems rather large too. It would be nice to put a sign up giving overall directions or maybe build a nice something to greet players when they come to visit. Without knowing how large the area is though, makes it a little more challenging.

I am a Minecraft tourist. I am currently unavailable under the XBoxLIVE ID listed here but can be found under ZombieL0C0. If you see me online playing Minecraft, send a message and I will gladly take a stroll through your world.

Why don't people read? They just post and continue not reading...
The original spawn point in ANY Minecraft: Xbox Edition world is a 20 x 20 area. If you sign in second controller, your guest will spawn in said spawn area.
If you sign in a guest over and over, marking the spot of each spawn, you'll notice a square being formed... A 20 x 20 square. That will be EXACTLY where players will spawn.

If anyone wants to play Bauldur's Gate (1, 2, or enhanced) or Icewind Dale PLEASE PM me. I'd like to play.
Never thought of the lava buckets to see exactly were my spawn ended. I killed myself over and over to find the spawn area in my game which is where my town square (although not built) is going to be.
The game won't show exactly where the spawn is with lava buckets. I mean it will, but it won't. Lava bucket's can't be placed as close as 7 - 8 blocks of that 20x20 area.
So if you do some math, the lava idea will definitely work (if you already know where at least 1 block of the spawn is) but will require just a little more planning if you're trying to make it only that 20 x 20 area. Otherwise, lava can't be placed in the 32x32 area (i believe the measurements are)
