I don't mean to bash the Skin Pack 1, for it has some really nice onces (Master Chief, Grunt .... yeah, I'm a Halo fan XD ). But the skins from Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, Wreckateer, and especially Deadlight look very, VERY good.

The SoA skins seem to take more advantage of the little space given to make a more detailed character model overall. SP1 does have a few very detailed ones like Master Chief, Jack Of Blades, Herobrine, Zombie, Banjo and the such. But most of the other skins are very plain in that pack, and very little depth compared to most / all of the SoA ones.
I don't know half the games from summer of arcade yet the skins are great! I am currently using the 2nd Hybrid skin (the red one). But to be honest the skin quality for each pack is the same except for the money and the fact that whoever made the skins (probably 4j) rushed half the skins to make the pack seem like it has a wide variety. Anyways I like them both.
I personally enjoy the skins from Hybrid. The white armored character looks great. Overall really pleased with the SOA skin pack. The paid pack is nice too. My inner Halo fan rejoiced at the sight of a Master Chief. :3
The only reason I like SoA skins is because of Officer ****(very detailed skin, you can know what it actually is) and the Hybrid Skins.
Other than that, its free
I frequently switch between them all (even the defaults)
I find I prefer Herobrine, Kenny (Deep sea Diver), from Skin pack 1. Tuxedo Steve from default. And Officer ****, Randall Wayne and Knight from SOA pack. =P
how do you get the summer of arcade skins anyways? did I miss something? because I can't seem to find them anywhere.
Go to the dashboard, wait until you see Tony Hawk's face and Summer of Arcade words in the background. Go there and look on the bottom right corner. You'll see minecraft skins. You should know what to do after that.
