So I changed the cable on my xbox so now its on HDMI and when i got into the place im keeping my wolves, the option to make it follow me is gone and all I can do is hit it when I hit it, it attacks me, but when someone else hits me it attacks them, does anyone know whats going on? Or has this happened to them?
I really can't imagine that switching to a HDMI cable caused that. But to be absolutely 100% sure, try your old cable.
As for the follow me/sit commands not appearing, that can easily happen if wolves are sitting in grass (not just grass blocks, but the grass you can harvest for seeds) or if something pushed them even only partially into a block. The latter happens to me a lot when all sorts of animals bump into my sitting wolves and slowly but surely push them partially into tree trunks.
