So I just finished my map after the update. I ended up having only enough clay to get around 12 blocks. Only reason I got that much was due to the fact I never got around to exploring my whole map till after the update. I heard there is a duplication glitch. Would you consider it cheating to dupe the bricks because it wasn't my fault for not having that much bricks? I think its pretty stupid they didn't have clay in the beginning.

It's completely up to you. I suppose it's more alright because you're compensating for another glitch.

I dupe only such things. Like pumpkins and cocoa beans. They aren't meant to be so rare (we are just limited by map size and version), yet they are rediculously rare.

People still consider it cheating but I don't care. It's not like I dupe Diamond or Gold, and I'm hosting a server for multiple people. I feel like it'd be justified sir.

There was a glitch in the initial version that made clay extremely rare. A patch in June fixed this. You'd have to make a new world.

Yea I know why it is so rare, they can't really change the world to put more clay in it if you already saved that chunk. But it sucks that because the world is limited, I can only find 12 bricks. What can i do with that, make a wall? a tiny fireplace?And from what I read, they didn't even have clay in the release, that they just added clay into the new update and it was a fix to change the reate of which it spawns.

i was there in the beginning but very rare. i still think its rare now. i only have 128 pieces of clay
