Seriously, why is it rated E? You can KILL monsters and other players with swords, bows and arrows, and explosions; there are ZOMBIES, skeletons, and giant spiders; and you can play as a bloody zombie, a guy named "Officer ****", and the sexually stereotyped nurse and swimmer.
The game was rated before the new skins, which do need looking at. As to killing, its not gory or violent deaths so probably got past the censorship especially when you can change the settings to peaceful.for the more junior members.

Lolz Agreed But its a fact that little kids play minecraft also.. So yea.. But IMO I think your kind of right.

Is there actually blood? I know enemies turn red, but that isn't blood. The skin pack was released after it was rated. The fantasy violence isn't really that bad. And as for the skins, aside from the bloody zombie one as I haven't seen it yet, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the ones you listed.
I have a question. Since women apparently have the right to play the sexually stereotyped card, if they add a skin of a male construction worker, can I say that is sexually stereotyped?
There is ZERO blood in the game. There is also ZERO sexual content. You are just making it sexual. Nobody I know has looked at the skins that are female and though they looked in any way, shape, or form sexual.
Also, it's rated E10+, not E. This game is perfectly suited for the rating of E10+.
It is rated E10+ for Fantasy Violence. It also adds this... Includes online features that may expose players to unrated user-generated content (Xbox 360)

There isn't any blood in the base game, and they don't rate DLC. "Fantasy violence", by itself, is enough to get an E rating (I think).
As for "mild sexual content", you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who finds any of the skins sexy, and again, those are DLC skins.
See, the problem with the stereotypes is that if they don't make it very obvious what is actually what, people will complain and say "Oh, it doesn't look like a _______ skin, 4J suuxxxxx!"
I understand that perhaps they are slightly offensive to some people. They are somewhat stereotypical, albeit well-designed in portraying what it is. But if anyone is actually raging that hard about this, to that I say -- there's a point where you need to get over it and just play the god damn game.
As far as violence goes.
At least there's no like, animated executions and such like you can find in other games. Hitting something with a flower looks the same as hitting them with a sword. That being said, the monsters and the entire aspect of killing could be viewed as violent.
Overall, I say E is a suitable rating.

If I made you laugh, smile, cry hysterically, or did something that made you feel relatively happy, hit that lil' green button.
There is 0% blood, nor is there any sexual content (How can you see pixels as sexual content...?).
The only thing there is might be a very little violence in which you don't even see a mob die, but vanish in smoke.
I can contradict that. Someone can EASILY jam a sloppy-looking genital into a tight frame of 256 pixels.
Not like there's anything wrong with that.
I'm comfortable enough with my straight sexuality that I'll say I'm not offended by penises in servers and perhaps even sex in video games and shizz (hot coffee, huh?)
The penis is a beautiful, albeit quite ugly-looking object.
Not unlike your mother. (shades)

Nope, males can't use sexist excuses and whites can't use racist excuses but they can be racist and sexist
You are ALL WRONG! There IS blood in Minecraft! Just look at the Skinny Zombie and Female Zombie skins from the Summer of Arcade Skin Pack. If that isn't blood, someone had a hard and messy time opening that bottle of cherry juice...

Is it a chicken or is it a duck? - It's a chuck, because dicken sounds stupid.
Im sorry but I disagree anyone can be sexist male or female and whites can use the racist if they are excluded. Its not about being of one description or the other, its about including everyone and excluding no one.

If you were responding to srghg, I'm pretty sure he was joking about what I had said.
I was playing this in front of my little brother the other day. I killed a pig and he started to cry and said 'why'd you kill the piggy?' (he is only 2)
That's probably why there is an age rating.
Well my two year old sister does not mind... It depends on the parents and the peoples interests... Thats why tons of kids play COD

With your logic, even a game like Super Mario should be rated T. You'll always see done sort of fantasy violence in most games, theres no blood in minecraft, and the "sexual content" is subjective at most, but acceptable by society.

i think the world nowadays is to weak and scared of hurting peoples feelings but not me i dont care about your feelings so if you dont like how the game is rated dont let your ****in kids play it then...if you dont want them seeing **** like dicks and blood and a ****ing 8 bit depiction of a ****ing nurse are you kidding me oh and violence..lock them in a dark room keep them out of the world dont let them watch tv cause your gonna see more violence on the ****in news...also dont let them read the bible either they killed people with stones and nailed some wacko jew on a cross claiming to be the son of a god that nobody has ever seen..really throw their xbox away and put yourself in the corner cause apparently you must think of yourself as a failure as a parent to let your kids play an imaginary game...im done
even if it was rated higher(which it really doesn't need to be, No blood no gore no violent death scenes) most little kids would play it anyways since their parents let them play whatever the **** they want anyways. Xbox=Baby sitter
