so i made a boat and used it and one time when i got out of it flew across the water to the nearest edge that looked like a dock and parked itself. so i built my house and decided that i want to make a dock for 2 boats which i did one on the left and right side. both parked thenselves right down the middle and everything but then the next day i go out to chop down a tree both boats are smashed into materials. so how is it that they break like that do they have a time limit? or was i just unlucky. i have also had boats when i exit them just fly at max speed into a wall and break aswell.
F*ckin boats -.- have to be the worst thing in this game. They don't have any set certain amount of uses or a time limit, they just break like their paper mache...
bah cause my house is in the middle of an ocean and a boat is really my fast travel to land so i might have to just make an underground minecart system or at least underwater for the effects

Ah, Make a long bridge and put your Minecart system on that? i could see an under water Minecart rail being a real pain to build. This is just from what I heard -->. When you build something underwater and you enclose it with something like glass, it doesn't make the water just go away on the inside, you have to fill it all in with sand or something to make the water go away. I think that's how it works, I may be wrong. Boats though, they will just **** you off if your the least bit OCD, which apparently every minecraft player is to a certain degree.
hrm i didnt think about the fill in the blocks thing but what if i make a tunnel from the surface to the middle of it and use that to funnel lava in to turn it into cobble or obsidian?
