I Play Minecraft to be creative build my ideas and have fun. Some people like to be down in the mines for hours swinging their pickaxe i have friends that do but im not one of those people. Do people look down on the duping glitch just because there are other people who do? or does anyone have a genuine opposition to it? and if so do you look down on computer players who build amazing structures that we all admire when looking at YouTube videos because they have creative mode. im a builder not a miner. i think the duping glitch is their way of giving people who just like to build a chance to do just that since Xbox dosen't have creative mode nd if you dont think so then why after the "patched" the duplication glitch can it still be done but its more difficult and why wasnt it patched again when the last update was released? these are just some things i wanted to hear other peoples opinions on.

The nice thing about Minecraft is all the possibilitys, "no limitations". People can play this game in many different ways. I dont care what others do, as long as it dosent effect my playing style. And i hope the MC crew will just add more and more items, possibilitys etc..
Use the dupe glitch if you want, but dont expect the extra +1 kudos from me for your work, when you do it that way.

+ 1 for creativity (dupe glitch)

+ 2 for creativity and hard work (Surv)

AMEN!!! i wish some ppl would get that through there thick skulls, we mod like this because 4j was to stupid to put creative mode in so we have to do 4js work for them because they are to lazy to do it thereselves, and then they try to go out and say theyre against modding because they want the credit

You talk of the amazing structures being built by people in creative or with glitching. I respect your right to build what you want and how you get there. But I woiuld feel its more amazing and respected if you actually went through the pain of digging. Yes they would probably look the same.Its not about doing things quickly, its about learning to manage limited resources and still come up with beautiful things. Basically I have more respect for people who have learnt alot from doing it as it was intended. It shows dedication. Fancy building built in creative, well those are just someone who want instant gratification without the hard work.

Ahhhhh.. Better Now sir, If I may, put down the bottle. It R no gud for ur brain <.< At that, duping is a relatively good scapegoat for actually doing any of the hard and tedious work of mining, and I do understand to an extent as to why people would alternatively use it due to any time restraints, but I just ask, if you do manage to get that brain of yours working and you do build something epic whilst duping recourses, please don't say you dug the recourses out yourself.. I'm not accusing, just saying.

Dupe glitch is a glitch which ruins the gameplay. Therefore, it must be patched.

Although I agree absolutely with this statement, that attitude is apparently pretty rare. Far too many people are worried about what others are doing even though it doesn't affect them one bit. Still they moan and complain, flame them on forums, etc.

As for the dubbing glitch, go ahead and knock yourself out. I can fully understand that someone rather builds without having to mine all sorts of blocks first. Even if you just want to have a bunch of chests full with diamond blocks, be my guest. Doesn't bother me. And it shouldn't bother anyone else, either. Period.

I would have to say the dup glitch is not somthing I would do but understand why it's done. I have been building in one world for two week's now..... maybe a full day in hour's and only have 64 diamonds . I have built huge castle's and lighthouse's .

my lighthouse is sandstone and stone with nether brick for added color and contrast. I would much rather use red wool where the nether brick is but untill I get enough it will stay nether brick.

I have also been saving my obsidion for a new build I started outlining I am about 458 block's away from starting final build once done i will feel like it is the best regardless if it is not up to youtube par or what people think is epic.

basically what I am trying to get at is , if you choose the easy way that's your choice but you can't compare your final product to my final product. not because your work might be bad or better but because the glitch allows you to have an idea and put it into place where I have to mine everything , during the weight for enough material the design will go through multiple change's since I have extra time to think of what I'm do .

I have one issue with duping, but I too find that buildings created with it are less impressive. Yes, I know that dupers will use the argument that they still had to place every block by hand, but it's still not the same.

My issue with duping is the people who use it. when I see some world or building posted here and then ask if it's duped or not, I get attacked. Then, if I say that I find it less impressive because they duped, the person who did it turns into a crying 10 year old who tries to insult me for no reason.

In my book, it will always be more impressive when someone spends the time to get their materials and then builds with them instead of creating infinite quantities for themselves.

Whose gameplay is it ruining? Only person it hurts is the duper. I wouldn't mind if they left it in until creative.
