I broke out my old Xbox out of mothballs the other day. The hard drive is boned and it doesn't play disk anymore but it still plays games from the USB flash drive just fine. I created a new Xbox live trail account and set up a 24/7 server for friends and I.
Is there a way to set it up so the server isn't actually playing? Would help in sleeping and connection. Would also free up a player spot.
I have a 10 down and 1 up connection speed. Would upping it help and or are the occasional problems we are having just the limitations of the game? Meaning, chuck loading and game drops.
Any other tips for people doing the same thing are much appreciated.
I was just considering trying the same thing. I have 2 xboxes with dead DVD drives. I had planned on having the trial account be the Admin, and just locking them in a room safe somewhere. It means no sleeping at night, but I haven't had a better idea yet. If you do try this, I'd love to know how it works out. I haven't played around with trial accounts before, and not sure I want to waste my time setting them up to test it.

As for your connection issues, that is your internet or another players internet, not the game.
