I don't try to enforce them heavy handed. I also usually comment on a thread I've reported to let them know why since Mods never tell someone why there thread is either deleted or moved.

True, true. I can't put all the blame on lack of moderation. If the majority of people here would take the thirty seconds to find answers themselves, we could cut back on a LOT of repeats.

Its just getting way too aggravating to see the same **** over and over again. Please be aware of deflamitory remarks. You have seen the number of posts per hour, do you really think mods are there just to read every one of them and make a deciison which to keep and which to remove. By the time they have done all that theres probably been 100 more to read. Wiki is usually a user forum, ie voluntary run not paid mods. This site isnt the worst Ive seen. If you wanted serious discussions then learn to ignore the 20 million other posts from the 10+ year old crowds. I understand the frustations of having a board open where anyone can post but really, its not a forum for serious debates, its a user forum with people needing help.
It seems like you can't come here for a proper discussion at all. Everything is lost in a flood of repeated topics asking what version we're on or people demanding answers about whatever update is next. The "Find Players" sub-board is ignored by most as even MORE topics advertising servers are placed here. The place is total anarchy, and it really detracts from the board's value.
It almost seems like just because we're the Xbox Version, the board isn't being regulated enough. In short, the board really, really needs some more dedicated attention. If we're lucky, it will at some point be a proper place to discuss the game.
Quick edit: Yes, I know I'm "complaining about complainers," but I sincerely just want to see things get back on track.

They are currently not taking Mdoerator Applications becuse they are switching to a new system.
Ive been thinking on more positive suggestions than what has been said so far. There is definiately a need for a "users help me" forum and a "Development of the game" forum. Maybe we could have a new subforum for serious debate on how the user community would like to see the game developed. We shouldn't need a sub-board for that. That's what THIS board should be used for. Not the mindless ramblings of Mr. 1 Post and his repeat questions.
M aybe the op is just in the wrong section then. I see this section as people asking for help. Doesnt matter how much information is published, people like answers to their questions even if its been asked a million times before. With the different time zones Im not really that suprised people just read their own posts.

Bottom line is that it's still against the forum rules to post redundant threads. If there is already a thread posted about what you're going to ask, you're not supposed to post it.
Take the billions of posts about slimes. There is a nice, well thought out thread for slimes that tells people every single thing they could possibly want to know about slimes. Yet, everyone continues to post useless redundant topics about how to find and farm slimes.
I think the mods are usually quite on top of redundant threads. Whenever I report one it is usually gone pretty fast, but I guess I'm not on here 24/7 to see them all.
Actually I dont think its a very well presented document. You can easily miss important information about slimes in it. There are questions people ask because they dont see the information. This usually means 2 things, 1) its too wordy or 2) it uses language that people dont understand. Read the crystal award guidelines.
I know Im as guilty as the next person for speed reading. If it dont shout and isnt in wiki page then we dont see it. I read the document over 5 times and still missed information from it.

If you get that, chances are you are either banned from topic or don't have sufficient privileges to post there. Being you got a message, which had to be set up some where with how long ( 12 hours, 24 hours, ect ) leads me to believe the banned option.

No one likes being a "Forum Cop" or "Hall Monitor" as Mustache_Guy said. (heard that before) but we can help show folks whats up with our little section of the valley. This will help them for the next time.

This is my biggest issue, as to help a user is the goal, not police them. When a staffer deletes or moves without notice, and I have not seen many moves, the user has no idea and 9/10 times will repost, making double the mods work. A simple PM or message, (most boards have built in system to notify poster)will stop this problem, and educate the user.

Not everything in this thread has been negative.
Because one thread trying to put an end to hundreds of useless threads is a good thing. Just like that "kill one person, save a thousand" deal.
