It seems like you can't come here for a proper discussion at all. Everything is lost in a flood of repeated topics asking what version we're on or people demanding answers about whatever update is next. The "Find Players" sub-board is ignored by most as even MORE topics advertising servers are placed here. The place is total anarchy, and it really detracts from the board's value.
It almost seems like just because we're the Xbox Version, the board isn't being regulated enough. In short, the board really, really needs some more dedicated attention. If we're lucky, it will at some point be a proper place to discuss the game.

I hear ya. people don't do their research or read rules anymore. It's been annoying since I started on here and it will continue to be annoying w/all the repeated threads and people taking up space from posting in the wrong section. I'm surprised that theres been very little moderator attention cuz sometimes these threads get out of hand

True, true. I can't put all the blame on lack of moderation. If the majority of people here would take the thirty seconds to find answers themselves, we could cut back on a LOT of repeats.

Exactly.It's like some of them are wicked lazy and want you to answer the same question over and over again just cuz they don't feel like doing the research. Drives me friggin crazy.

People need to use the report function more. It's not that the mods aren't here, it's just that they need people to help them by reporting the threads and posts.
Yeah, I literally have just been dumb-founded at how ridiculous this whole section is. There are at least 30 threads a day about the same exact thing. I have defended my Xbox brothers for years against the PC elitists, but quite frankly my efforts are futile. I don't know exactly what it is, but people just don't seem to want to help themselves by searching for information. People just like things given to them without any work done. Take all these piston complaint threads for example. Someone finds a youtube video showing how to build a door, but when the design doesn't work first time they decide to clog up the forums with "OMG'zzz I CAnt CoPY Pas/TESS tis PieSToN DOOOORRRRR......... Halp".
Human behavior will keep on doing it, because just about every new member will not use the search function or do their own research. Their only concern is getting a question answered, regardless whether they get attacked or not (because some of them never even come back until they have yet another question). Yes, we might need more moderator control (or moreso, people helping them out asap), however, I say we have a decently active & helpful community that will help regulate the flow of questions and redirect people to the proper areas to post.
Regardless, people will continue this bumpy trend.

I had no idea "report" button should be used for repeat posts/posting in wrong topics. etc - thought it was soley for spamming and flaming - duley noted.
I disagree. There is too much content generated for any one or two to keep up with in this section, let alone the rest of the board.
Consider that not ever looney tune post requires a response, mainly "This will get deleted." or what ever hair pulling comment comes to mind. Let the post die by not responding, or report if need be. Other spam may take it's place, but hopefully a meaningful thread will be bumped.
Repeat questions can get a simple link instead of a comment. We, the neighborhood forum gang should already have most of these on hand. Please do not start reporting questions,
If the admins were to take any action, I think it should be to extend a parole period, new members can not post for ten days. They can reply, but not post. (This is hard due to the fact that it would stretch across the board, not just this section)
Our little corner of the minecraft forum may be polluted, but there are other sections. Check them out. Just because we play xbox does not mean we are tied to this forum alone. Take a break and explore the rest of it.

You can report questions if they are redundant as posting redundant threads is against the rules.
If everyone wanted to be really technical, this very thread is in the wrong section and is off-topic as it does not relate to Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition but instead to the actual forums.
The mods ARE NOT LAZY!!!!! Try reading 500 threads a day........ Some are cool and some are on a power trip Just like everywhere else. They need the communities help to alert (report) the rules being broken. They don't know if we don't tell them. My gripe is that instead of immediate deletion, They could ask a user to edit or comply instead in some cases. Just my random opinion. A community of kids and this is what ya get.......
