Why isn't there a decorative block for Red stone like there is for Lapis, Gold, Iron, and Diamond? I think it would look really nice, I know i could just use Red Wool, but for what I'm building, it wouldn't right..
I think there should be. Though that would mean you can make a hella lot of Redstone blocks (because Redstone is such an abundant resource), I wouldn't mind having a shiny Redstone block. Lapis Lazuli gives off a few ores and so does Redstone...so it could be done and makes reasonable sense.
Of course, it wouldn't happen because we're following a majority of what has already been brought up in the PC version.
There never was, ever. Because redstone is more of an entity than an ingot. To make a normal block you would porbably need a lot of redstone dust. If you look at the size of it.

I don't think comparing sizes in minecraft helps your point.
6 wood planks to make 2 trap doors...those two are smaller then what you put in, same with doors., levers...and goodness look at buttons.
I would like to see a Redstone Block, i don't really care if it had functionality, just decoration would be fine.
I agree it would be nice if nothing else it would be great for storage. I dont know about you guys but after some healthy mining trips i have 3 full double chests of redstone dust. not to mention the 2-3 chests of coal i get. I would love a coal block too.
it my opinion it seems like a block that would give off a bit of light and act as a constant energy source for redstone currents, just like redstone torches
I misread the post. Yes it would definitely make sense for there to be a mineral redstone block like, diamond or lapis. Storage would be easier. Though after the piston update, all that unused redstone has quickly evaporated.
