A buddy of mine had a skeleton and spider spawner not even four blocks from each other. Of course, he's got them as mob traps now for his resources, lucky *******. I guess whatever seed you get, it's just pure luck.
Stuff like that happens when you play a game with a randomly generated world. I've heard of people on the PC finding 3 dungeons all right next to each other.

You were unlucky to find 2 zombies. I have a spider and a skeleton spawner within 4 blocks of each other. The zombie spawner is only 17 blocks away from them. Mob spawners are a great way to get resources without using glitches and you have fun making them.

and theres another skele dungeon farther down from the spider one
It's all just luck.

Back to OP, make a mob trap with them. Then when 1.8 comes out and their drops aren't so useful, turn it into an XP grinder
