Until there are actual severs, (not player hosted maps) this whole thread is a pile of dung.
Arguing about the most utterly stupidest most mundane, irreverent things.
It would be different if there was an actual debate.
There isn't.
What is needed is a list of players a host can choose from and ban or unban.
Banning someone just to have them come back a session or two later because there is no "perma ban list" is a real issue.
All your other make believe crap is nonsense unless there are SERVERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Till then, change the post title, or drop this useless, dumb ass pretend debate.
I can not believe I sifted through this crappy post. I am done with this forum of 9 year ****.
While I can understand your opinion I personally think that you should just take a minute to relax and not really try to offend the Op on this. But in my opinion i like the post and i completely agree with the Op

Thanks for the support 4J has been awfully silent lately.
This is seriously an amazing idea. If 4J could somehow work this into MCX, that would be fantastic. Even if it had to come as dlc, I would be willing to purchase it.
im seriously liking this idea it sounds promising that and build fast lol that looks really cool it will look really cool if they put build fast on xbox360 and creative mode on 360

It would be quite a sad day if we had to purchase this sort of thing I'm sure that if they go with it, the commands will be included in an update.

Creative Mode will be coming out with the next large update, rumored to be released around September.
Because all of those commands you are talking about are PC. 4J wont care.
I find it hard to believe that 4J is being silent because of me
Thanks for all the support so far guys; I think this many people rallying behind an idea can really make a difference to a developer. Only time can tell. <3
1. World size increase
2. More players
3. Possible server dedication
Currently I dont need to teleport to anyone seeing as the map size is so small. I don't see why we would need a kick/ban player option, you can already kick a player and the person can't enter again until the world is restarted. Honestly you don't need any of this if you there isnt server dedication. Why? Because, you will be playing when someone joins, so if you do not want them in the game just kick them. If you go AFK save the world before you go, and if someone were to grief reload the save.
All of this stuff is luxury. I would rather have the game be updated before they put this stuff in.
EDIT: The only thing I think should be added is the option to switch from Creative to Survival or Vice versa.
ok, so what i have witnessed is about 8 pages of people without any rationality, logic, or common sense.
X totally agree about commands, but with the 360 there ARE slight limitations. Thats not to say that 4J cant still do all of what you want and MORE anyway. I think that the 360 version could support just about everything the pc could but some things would have to come in moderation.
kyi I think you and X dont quite understand each othere. You understand the words youre reading but you dont understand the other person or where exactly theyre coming from. I for one was kind of lost on your points from the get go.... Creative WILL be in the 360 version and for the world owner to have mod rights would be great. Total Miner Forge has a very simple system that works great and thats just a community game. As for gamemode switching ingame..... that would be a great feature. if the problem you have is that the host can unfairly change settings to make your time in their world less fun then go elsewhere.
In the hopes of not becoming a third party in this post war youre having, the 2 of you need to step back, disregard past posts, and start anew on even ground with mutual understanding.
Other than all of that............. I like to run RPG servers with friends and think that a rights system and gamemode changing would be a great asset. Cant wait to see whats headed down the pipeline.
P.S. i stopped reading at page 7ish so if my post has already become irrelevant then please disregard it.
I saw someone mention the commands as luxury and plenty of posts seem to think it's like asking for cheat codes. It's not. With being able to switch game modes (and difficulty) it simply allows players more control over their (keyword) game.
I like the way you've worded this. When it boils down to it, it IS your game and it is certainly your right to play as you please. If you should wish to switch to Creative at the press of a button on your own server, there is hardly a reason you shouldn't be granted that opportunity. We're not asking for anything new to the Minecraft community. We're simply requesting that we be given the same reasonable freedoms as PC server admins. It seems that these commands would be quite easy to work in, and they aren't calling for anything that the Xbox isn't capable of (or so I'd imagine).
4J have been Tweeting more rapidly now. Hopefully we can acquire an announcement regarding the issues brought up in this thread soon If you wish to help the cause, feel free to tweet them with a link to the thread. With enough tweets, we can surely draw some attention. Any form of confirmation will do, of course!
I have refurbished the thread into something much greater. After seeing numerous other posts around the forums, I figured we should just go all out and try to see this through completely
Administrative commands are a necessity for multiplayer in Minecraft on the Xbox 360, and I believe that it would be very simple to implement. By adding a simple way to access a command console (preferably through an in-game menu), there's no reason to believe that we cannot get the same control over our multiplayer servers that the PC has.
The following commands would be beneficial for us in many ways:
/gamemode [username] [0][1] - This command allows an administrator to switch a player between Survival [0] and Creative [1]. The feature would likely be used by admins attempting to maintain proper control of a Roleplay server, along with people who would enjoy building a quick "starting point" before beginning Survival. Whatever the reason may be, the option to do this is remarkably powerful and freeing.
/tp [player1] [player2] - This commands allows an admin to teleport Player 1 to Player 2. This can be used to catch griefers red handed or allow more laid back players to more easily access their friends' location.
/time [set|add] [number] - This command allows admins to change/set the time of day. Useful for those who wish to skip through the night if the situation is called for.
/op [player] - A very simple command that would make another player an admin for as long as the session lasts. It may not be possible to make the admin status stay through multiple sessions.
There may be a few others, but these are what I see as the most important. As known, these are vanilla Minecraft features, and more options are never a bad thing. My plan is to garner some traction here and tweet 4J about the features to ensure their inclusion. If you want administrating, creating and surviving to blend more seamlessly, there is no reason to ignore these staples of Minecraft administration.
Thanks for reading,
X
yea they should also allow us to do the commands using a usb keyboard or chatpad but it shouldnt have to be required cause i know ALOT of people who dont have keyboards or chatpads and no one can say its not possible cause other games have done it such as that one indie game fortresscraft if those people can do it then 4j could do it

all they really need to do is add these options to the player list when you press the Back button instead of actually making you type the commands.
I am pleased to report that 4J has tweeted that they are looking into this. They are, however, trying to find a proper solution so that people may not simply "cheat" in Survival.

Yey! Maybe they can make it so you can only do it once.
I support the idea of those commands, it would be nice to see that in the game.

i personally would love this idea, but ima throw my 2 cents in the game and say that along with your idea that if xbox had a map downloading system it would be 200 times better. Just imagine building a map in creative, giving the character a limited amount of supplies, creating a few looting areas, and throw in a couple of mob spawners in the nearby cave of the local town center ( which has been getting attacked at night and the villagers need a hero.) like stated....my 2 cents. and also considering i only have 9 posts left for today lol.

Absolutely. A hub for maps would be excellent. Trials Evolution does this wonderfully.
