Of course people have a right to disagree. But you need to have claims to back up the disagreements. Items that disappear when you switch back to Survival may work, but it's still not how it works in the actual 1.8.2.

Understandable. Being that there may be no way to have a continuous administrative state for a player through numerous sessions, it may be a futile thing to add.

oh and if 4J has any bit of that thing you call logic, they'll most likely make it so the host can give people creative permission individually .

That's what the original post calls for Truthfully, I've never had any problems with these features in the past. A couple people seem to think it won't translate well even if it's the exact same thing.

The world is in a constant state of Survival. The only thing changed by someone being in Creative mode is that they:
Have access to all items in an unlimited quantity.
Can fly.
Are invincible.
That's it. For a more direct reference of how it works, read up about it. It doesn't alter things too greatly.

Xavier just answered above which is how it works in multiplayer servers on the pc version... you either never played on one or you're just overthinking this.
Being in creative mode doesn't mean the world is set to peaceful.
Id rather wait until xbox has creative than read pc that may or may not be programmed that way. XBOX could have entirely different rules applied. Like Ive said before you are counting chickens before they hatch.

well yeah, that's why this thread is asking for these features in the future. There aren't that many different ways 4J can address these issues, adding the features the OP, and quite a few other people have requested, would make the most sense.

I fully support this because it adds options on the way you can play the game, remember that not everyone plays the game exactly alike, while you may not think a dupped world is cool because it is dupped doesnt mean others wont, just because someone uses creative mode to build something cool doesnt make it any less cool just because it was done in creative mode, not everyone has all day to mine/gather stuff they need to build awesome cool stuff (some people actually buy the game to build stuff). so who are we to tell each other how to play the game.
Again, I support the idea because while some hate it for the sake of hating it others like the idea because it allows them to play the game the way they want to play, Minecraft is not a competition on who can build the biggest baddest building, its a game meant to be played however you want with the tools available, all the OP is asking for is additional tools to allow him and from the looks of this thread other people want to help make their minecraft experience more enjoyable...
I like this idea but here is what i think now dont get me wrong i would love to have creative mode at will but i think that before anything fix any issues if they actually decide to do this in other words to take their time for no inventory issues once admin changes to creative mode and stuff like that. I just hope that they implement the XP and with higher XP to allow us to mine faster or give us a little bigger inventory on us to carry and other kinds of little things. Well thank you for reading.
I think this is a great idea. I have friends who want to build and other friends who enjoy survival by itself, so this would be a great addition! I support you 100%!!!

Great point -- this method would help appease everyone if the server is very laid back. Everyone can do what they enjoy, be it farming for food just to stay alive or building giant monuments.

Agreed. Towns and cities, as of now, must be fully shut down just because the host does not have all the time in the world. This and the ability to kick is enough power and abilities I would suggest Administrators to have.
Xavier, stop bothering. Your argueing with a million people about how you want xbox to be just like the PC. It isn't the PC, get over it. If you want all these features then play the console that actually has all those features.
