Okay. When 1.8.2 comes out and Creative mode and everything else in the game is just like the PC version, I'll be waiting. The Xbox Edition may be a LITTLE different than the PC, but I can guarantee you that they aren't planning to divert like you seem to think they are.
Nice, so what are you affliiated to. Not exactly a discussion point comment you made there.
I read your original post and to be honest I still think you are counting your chickens before the hatch. We dont know what developements are for xbox for creative. All you are doing at the moment is basicing assumptions according to the pc version. Ive said it before and Ill say it again XBOX edition isnt PC edition. Wait until its programmed before deciding you want to extras. Unless you are telling me you are actually developing personally and then you probably already know why. So far all ive seen is the arguement from you is I want it Loads of otgher people want it but not much about loads of other people dont want it even though you have read other peoples posts on the subject . You have not written one decent arguement as to why you want it other than its a nice to have. Nice to have in programmers speech is bottom of the list requirements if we ever get time to look at it.
In addition, you say wait until it's programmed. They're converting the PC's code to C++. What exactly does that mean? That the features are going to be the same.
Aparently some people dont know how to debate and are only looking for people to say yes to his point of view without any real discusion about why he wants support for it.

It was related to the discussion because of a previous user believing that McAngusYoung's words were mine. That post was further proving my independence.
My beliefs are affiliated to myself. I have no owners; I am my own person.

I've said why I want support for it and I'm open to REAL complaints. I haven't seen any yet. It would make server admin's (running RP/Hunger Game/whatever servers) job a LOT easier. Creative mode can help them prepare events, construct new areas and much more without having to interrupt the normal flow for others. Another reason for wanting it is some people just get "lazy". Sometimes people may just want to mess around with redstone or try new building techniques. There are plenty of reasons given by me. I'm not just saying "Give it because I want it," even though some are saying "Don't give it because I don't want it."
Our topics were started on the same day and I promise you I didn't intentionally/knowingly copy you. I did just take a look at your thread though and I love your ideas too. More administrative commands would be fantastic.
Lol, Ive put up more arguments aginst it than you have even suggested 1 to why you wnat it. It will be abused by some admins. I suspect you would be in that category. Fine if you want this then just put it on single player only. I cant see any use for it on a multiplayer world other than more arguments more griefers just because admin didnt like something, changed something and told no one.

If you don't like an admin doing something, simply don't play there. Only play with people you trust. And what exactly makes you think I'd abuse it? I'm lobbying for it to give this game more options and make managing online play easier.

No what you are looking for is a program change that allows updates while other people play. It doesnt give the player with a zombiie farm waiting for mobs to spawn when you have changed to creative because you wanted to, it doesnt stop a creeper blowing up a project build just because you changed it from peaceful to mob spawning. Its a lazy adminstator who doesnt want to tell people what hes doing and why servers are down that wants options to keep someone in the game while hes changing it. Simply put just tell everyone you are changing it save it and let them know. It gives the users the options then to join or not to join. What you are actually suggesting is taking more options away from players.
You apparently have a one tracked mind that isnt open to flaws. Your arguements for is basically to take what ever is and and try to make it appear as the person who has raised it isnt saying anything you want to hear. Rather than put you case forward with positive reasons why you thinks its a good idea to be creative with others people play. Like it would be more beneficial to be able to switch betwee n the 2 modes wihtout saving the game so players and creators can build quickly and then test the new builds under normal game conditions. Theres your pro argument pity I had to tell you rather than you tell us. Con side of it is we built it but the mobs blew it up so we had to start again. Thats called debate. My con arguement is valid to say players would grieve if someone just changed and didnt tell them. Your arguement is "Its cool if I could do this please support me" isnt a pro or a con of the idea.

You are failing to see the upside. Some admins will abuse it, some won't. He is asking for an ability to change from creative to survival in the pause menu. Adding permissions to the game will add a whole new reason to play online. The upside to the whole thing is that when building a server( And if you don't like me calling it a server, then a world) for your friends to play on. Then they realize "Hey, we need a town hall!" So the admin then switches to creative mode, makes a town hall and switches back. This change would make an admin actually an admin and not just someone else on the world. Sure, you may have built the world, but you don't have anything else over the other players. It can be argued that with great power comes great responsibility. However that's a risk a lot of people want to take. Including me.
I literally cannot even follow your paragraphs anymore kyi. I get the gist of it, but I think your fears are a bit irrational and unrealistic. In other news, thanks for the great post, Poetic

I support this idea 100%
I can sdee both sides thats the pont. What I dont think is clear is the fact he didnt want users to know he was switching, he just wanted to push the button. and push it back withouit thinking thru the implications.

Come on, I'm tired of reading your posts in this thread. Your opinion is noted and dismissed. Get over it.
You fail to put your pro arguement forward. There simple words for simple minds.

its like one user said before, if you are in the middle of getting exp and then the admin changes it to creative and you stop getting experience points is a down side. I really think what is being suggested is ok for an offline world but when you have active player playing the game, they dont want to be messed with.

The change of player state only affects the admin, not the entire server. I've made that blatantly clear numerous times and even stated it by itself for emphasis. And, if you'd like, make a server notification pop up when an admin changes himself to creative and back again. Just like the "So and so is sleeping" message.

Fine ill stop posting and it can go to the bottom of the slime threads...and be forgotten.
Honestly, it needed to be said.
