This is a standard feature that came with Minecraft 1.8 on the PC, and I don't see why it can't come to the Xbox. Pausing the game and choosing to switch between Creative/Survival mode (only for admins on a specific server) would be great. This would greatly help out players who wish to create RP Worlds with Creative and enter it whenever he/she needs to make adjustments. That, of course, is only one example. It can allow easier testing of redstone contraptions, building techniques and anything else you can thing of.
As I said, this is a vanilla feature from 1.8, and more options are never a bad thing. My plan is to garner some traction here and tweet 4J about the feature to ensure its inclusion. If you want administrating, creating and surviving to blend more seamlessly, there is no reason to ignore this staple of Minecraft.
Right now my group of guys play on a peaceful would that is our "Creatre Mode".
I imagine that we are not the only ones who do this.
When 1.8 rolls out we really want to switch that over to Creative permanently.
We really hope they add in the feature to switch between Survival, and Creative in 1.8.
I'm seeing more and more posts in other topics wanting this feature. Remember, the more highly requested, the more likely it is Thanks for everyone's support so far!
I really like this idea when me and my friends all played on the PC version together, being able to control and keep the world intact is one of the most fun things I found playing online (maybe I went power hungry... nah can't be it).
But to throw this out here, this was only able to be done on online servers which people payed for or dedicated themselves. So maybe if this is at all possible, and I know you all might not like this, people may have to pay for servers like Battlefield 3 is now doing. They rent out servers for you to host just like Minecraft can do for Xbox. This way being on this online portion of the game the leaderboards are not affected, you can assign admins, and they can add a server list for the game. It kinda sounds like a total overhaul of the games online portion, so honestly I wouldn't expect this at all to happen. But I for one think that these would be nice to be implemented to create a good matchmaking style online portion of the game. As of right now Minecraft is limited to friends in a sense and that is for griefing which I completely understand.
Thankfully, I don't believe the idea would have to rely on a dedicated server. They would be nice, however, but I don't look for it to happen. All EA had to do on Battlefield 3 was rent out the servers they already had.
Yes, we know. I saw in the other thread that your primary argument is you don't want it in the game. I understand it can be viewed as cheating, but sometimes it's nice when things are a little easier if you need them to be.

That wasn't my argument or reasoning. I never stated my views about the subject specifically; those words you heard were from McAngusYoung.
I can understand your way of thinking, but my beliefs are not combined with others just because they are basically "on the same side."

I agree, hopefully not. I am just pointing out what could happen. Money is money, and honestly to think about it, if we pay more then we get more... at least that's how I see it. We pay, we are supporting!

I rented a BF3 server for a month. It was extremely expensive and only mildly worth it. If they did it here on Minecraft + making it cheaper than BF3, I'd probably do it in a heartbeat.
Maybe be its me but honestly I dont see the point. Survival is running and playing the game. Creative is running and buildingj the game. You can already add mobs in creative mode why do you need the switch button to change from survival to creative.
Ps and really if it was desparately needed that badly why arent the pc people already asking for this to be a standard feature. I guess because no one wantsj/needs it.

Wait what....you saw this topic in another post and decided to post your own duplicate.....read the guidelines.
Im begining to wonder if any of you play across multiple time zones now. I play with my Canadian friends. We play on different game settings depending on what we are doing. To me creative brings flying and block duplication. I talk to everyone on chat, we decide as a group what settings to put them on. If anyone steps out of line, we remove them. Why on earth are you trying to make seamless
changes when you need to save the game before changing it to survival of the zombies is completely beyond me. The only reason I can see is for you to rebuild something you dont like being attack by mobs This appears to be the only reason...
I would much rather see time spent on expanding my xbox world than wasting programmers time for so little gain.

It's been a feature on the PC version for a long, long time. Admins can switch game modes. Maybe if you read the original post, you'd know that.

This topic was made first. I think you should just leave the thread instead of spamming, because you're only in here to blatantly cause trouble and create imaginary situations.

I read your original post and to be honest I still think you are counting your chickens before the hatch. We dont know what developements are for xbox for creative. All you are doing at the moment is basicing assumptions according to the pc version. Ive said it before and Ill say it again XBOX edition isnt PC edition. Wait until its programmed before deciding you want to extras. Unless you are telling me you are actually developing personally and then you probably already know why. So far all ive seen is the arguement from you is I want it Loads of otgher people want it but not much about loads of other people dont want it even though you have read other peoples posts on the subject . You have not written one decent arguement as to why you want it other than its a nice to have. Nice to have in programmers speech is bottom of the list requirements if we ever get time to look at it.

Or they could make it so Creative mode doesn't affect your stats (as if Leaderboards really matter anyway).

Nice, so what are you affliiated to. Not exactly a discussion point comment you made there.
