Hi,

I am a new Xbox 360 owner and a new Minecraft player. I would like to play with other people online but I am very confused as how to do this. I will give you a run-down on how I start playing Minecraft and maybe someone can guide me.

First I go to Quickplay--> Click on Minecraft --> Click on Play Game --> Click on my saved game which is titled Tutorial, I guess because when I started I played through the tutorial and I have no idea if I can change this save file name--> Then it gives me a list of options with boxes next to them that I can check or uncheck. There is an Online Game option but whether I check it or not does not seem to make a difference.

So, then I start my game. I am in my world and there is no one else there. How can I find people and other people's towns and stuff?

Hi.

When you go to start your game...or start a new game, you will see a box to the right showing open games that your friends are in. You can actively join those games by choosing them and pressing A.

You have to invite people to your world over Xbox live. There's no on-line "matchmaking" system. You will never be paired with people you don't know. So you can only invite people on your friends list.

also people have to join, they dont join right when the game starts it may seem you are offline, people need to see your game is public
