So I've been playing some minecraft lately, (obviously), and I started thinking...clans on minecraft? So I mentally took the idea and ran with it. I automatically started thinking about 4v4 "tower defence" type games and even a CTF game-type. This thought process is still in the beta stage, but if anyone out there has ever had a similar idea, please message me on xbox live. GT: Dwapuh. I personally think that if this could get out there, then minecraft could possibly get even better! So, with that said, no haters/trolls, constructive critisism is appreciated, and remember... Clans on minecraft have been established for a long time now.... how they carry out conflicts, i don't know. I think there is a clan related forum somewhere in the minecraft forums maybe you can look there just keep in mind its probably all on pc. As for a ctf mode? The wiki is probably about 99% wrong on that, you would have to figure out a way to do it your self like maybe put a colored block of wool on top of each base and you have to destroy that and carry it back? any way you do it it's going to be slightly complicated and i wouldn't count on game mode for it coming at all.
I like the idea of something new to do. Might be easier to start a post in the looking for players section though.
If I was trying to run something like this, I'd start with finding players interested in pvp. Organize on the forums, start a new world with set rules. Maybe a one hour peaceful mode with no pvp, giving teams a chance to build their own structure - then saving and loading on hard, re-invite everyone and have a free-for all or team deathmatch or whatever. If you can get a group of regular people playing, then you use them to build a pvp arena or CTF map together as they'll already have more experience at what makes it more fun.
I play mostly with my girlfriend, so something like this would be a cool change of pace.
I am sorry but what is the point of creating something in MC that is being done very efficiently by FPS games? MC is what it is. Why transform it to something else?

I hate hearing that as an argument to support every single suggestion. Look; players can call their groups whatever they want, but 4J Studios does not have to do it for them.

I wasn't talking about clans. I don't care about that part.
Finding people to play a legit game is.. difficult. So I'm saying if we get the ability to join random servers, they have premade maps set up for games (ctf..).
But yeah "duping good cus minecraft has no rules.." it did get annoying.
