It did not have to be written. Just understanding the context is a big thing. He asked for a job to do on your world. What if you're making a town? or a city? Possibly for a server. If he is a good builder he is basically asking to help you with a project that might put you back a few days.

yours will be hardest with your time limit so you will need to find your materilals then i will have to work fast.
