Everytime i get a big slime i use a bow to kill it ( just the bow, no arrows) and it wont split and i don't get why... the smaller ones and the tiny ones will drop slime balls and split... just that giant one...
If anyone can give the explanation, ill greatly appreciate it.
i use cobblestone lol but fist is best option if you're low on health then quickly build a 3 x 3 square wall and leave the middle block open and punch through the hole

Using bow/arrows works fine its about the only weapon you can use besides a wooden sword to split slimes, having said that. There is bugged slimes such as the big ones that occasionally cant be split and even cant be hurt.

Gave you a vote. yea i got some bugged ones that wont get hurt but they eventually did.
