Has anyone noticed something wrong with the redstone, like once you put too much into whatever you're making or too many steps or gates it throws something off and screws it up?
i made a completely hidden staircase in the floor, everything worked perfectly, then i set up a XOR gate so it can be opened and closed from under and above ground, everything's still fine. i added an AND gate for the above ground XOR gate switch so that if someone ever found the lever im using to open the stairs to go down they'd find it pretty much useless without the second lever, which is where it screws up. the AND gate works perfectly fine with the XOR gate and the stairs close and SOUND like they open, but the stairs only open partially. i switched the levers off and back on really fast then the stairs opened fine, once. i did it again and a different part of the stairs decided not to open. I tried it several more times and only the original problem persisted. there's no way the AND gate is messing with the original hidden staircase because it's just not close enough, same with the XOR gate.
i took out the AND gate and the problem disappeared, which i can deal with, but it kind of pisses me off, there's no reason it shouldn't work. I did everything right because if anything was wrong with the AND gate then the only thing that should've happened is the stairs refuse to move because the AND gate does not interact with the stair contraption directly. can anyone help with this?
No clue, I might be able to find the problem if I could see it.
there is no visible problem though, if the stairs work, then the xor gate works with the stairs, then the and gate works with the xor gate, it works. it can't not work unless there's something wrong with the game, im curious as to whether anyone else has had any problems like this

I had to use a different NOR latch array system because a design, that I know works, would only work about half of the time.

i saw a thread a few weeks ago that said something about redstone timing being off and never thought anything of it until now
